The place was closed for the season when we lived next door, but they kept a dog (presumably for guarding purposes) in the area. We peaked through the fence once and the dog was leashed to an old camper. We did see him roam freely in the property too, though. He was for several hours a day, sometimes constantly, barking. While it was a real nuisance to us staying next door (especially since he was very active, barking-wise, in the evenings), our sympathy was with the dog. The reason I give the place 2 stars and not 1 was because we actually managed to get in touch with the booking agent of the place one day, who contacted "il boss" who actually shortly after came to see the dog who seemingly calmed down.. but the next day doggy was in full barking-mode again. Edit: Changed rating to one star as the poor dog kept us awake for most parts of a whole night..

I had a "panini" - a cheap, pre-made baguette with minimal meat, soggy lettuce and whole slices of lemon, including seeds (yes, seeds!). My partner had a salad - a few slices of flavourless "roast" veggies and a ball of hard mozzarella. After all the food we've had so far in Sicily, the lunch here was a disgrace for any self-respecting Italian, see the photo below of my panini. Drinks are more than double the price you'd expect (€4 for a can of ice tea). We have no problem paying extra, but then it needs to be a prime location, and sadly this was not. Normally I never leave reviews but as a hospitality owner myself I just can't not share my experience. I got the feeling that this is a place that exists purely to make money, and at the expense of their guests. Staff, whom had good intentions, walked around like they had never worked in hospitality before (our drinks sat there melting in the sun while the staff enjoyed theirs at the bar. Huh??!) There is no element of hospitality or passion involved. Which is sad. For your info, sun beds are 15€ per day to sit on the scaffolding. I wouldn't bother venturing all the way out here.
