Consigliatissimo I was looking for a B&B in Syracuse for a weekend of relaxation and I must say that Villa Fisher was an excellent choice, very quiet area but very close to the city, perfect hospitality, well-kept swimming pool and simple access to the sea. Highly recommended

J	John-John Arnold on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wat een doffe ellende. Waar moet ik beginnen? Dit afgelegen oord ligt op een mooie plek. Maar daar is dan ook meteen alles mee gezegd. Syracuse is 20 minuten met de auto. Er zijn wat kleine winkeltje maar dat is niet op loopafstand. Het gedateerde huis is verscholen achter twee poorten. De ontvangst was magertjes. Met een korte rondleiding in gebrekkig Engels kregen we toegang tot de kamer. Deze kamer zou zeezicht moeten hebben. Dat zeezicht was alleen van af het balkon haaks op de kamer. Helaas had het balkon geen leuk zitje om vanaf daar over de zee uit te kijken. De kamer was donkerbruin en was van samen geraapte spullen gemeubileerd. De badkamer was smal. De airco was 30 jaar oud en hing vlak naast het bed op 80 cm hoogte. We durfden hem niet aan te zetten. De uitstraling was erg jaren 80. De koelkast was gedeeld met andere gasten en stond op de gang. de leuning naast het trappetje werd door de verf bij elkaar gehouden. De tegels rond het zwembad lagen los. Het zwembad had ooit een duikplank. De vier bevestiging waren afgezaagd en staken nog uit het terras. Op het hele terras was geen schaduw te vinden. De ligstoelen waren kapot op het lig deel. Pijnlijk als je huid er tussen komt zitten. De parasolletjes waren klein, kapot en boden geen schaduw. Het privéstrand was meer een klif. Als je slecht ter been bent onmogelijk om er naar toe te gaan laat staan om in en uit zee te klimmen. Het ontbijt was karig. We betaalde 100,- per nacht. In vergelijking met andere locaties een schande. Toen we hier over klachten hadden werd de oudere man zeer onvriendelijk. Mijn advies: zoek verder naar iets wat wel uw geld waard is. Tenzij u in een gedateerde omgeving onvriendelijk van uw tijd en geld wil worden afgeholpen. Er is zo veel meer op dit eiland te vinden wat goedkoper en beter is en waar u veel gastvrijer wordt ontvangen. What a dull misery. Where do I begin? This secluded place is in a beautiful place. But everything was immediately said with that. Syracuse is 20 minutes by car. There are some small shops but that is not within walking distance. The dated house is hidden behind two gates. The reception was poor. With a short tour in poor English we were given access to the room. This room should have a sea view. That sea view was only from the balcony perpendicular to the room. Unfortunately, the balcony did not have a nice seat to look out over the sea from there. The room was dark brown and furnished with things gathered together. The bathroom was narrow. The air conditioning was 30 years old and hung right next to the bed at a height of 80 cm. We did not dare to turn it on. The appearance was very 80s. The fridge was shared with other guests and was in the hallway. the handrail next to the stairs was held together by the paint. The tiles around the pool were loose. The pool once had a diving board. The four attachments were sawn off and still protruded from the terrace. There was no shade on the entire terrace. The loungers were broken on the lying part. Painful if your skin comes in between. The parasols were small, broken and offered no shade. The private beach was more like a cliff. If you have difficulty walking it is impossible to go there, let alone climb in and out of the sea. The breakfast was scanty. We paid 100 per night. Compared to other locations a shame. When we had complaints about this, the older man became very unfriendly. My advice: look further for something that is worth your money. Unless you want to get rid of your time and money unfriendly in a dated environment. There is so much more to find on this island that is cheaper and better and where you will be received much more hospitably.
C	Charlize Solon on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My stay at this villa was quite nice. You're right by an area which is great for snorkeling because of it's abundance of sea life. If the ocean is too choppy then there is a pool to swim in. The owners were very welcoming as well. Be warned that you'll have to drive to neighboring areas to grab lunch and dinner. Even with this in mind, this is one of the best places I've stayed at here in Sicily.
