Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.
Family run and they are very kind and friendly.
Highlight is the roof breakfast where the owners give fresh squeezed orange juice and delicious cappuccinos.
Our room was on the first floor, so there was some noise on street level, but nothing too terrible.
Hot water in the shower was missing a few times —- so had to be strategic about when to shower.
Good location in the old town and they were very kind to come get us near the main road.
A safe bet for a place to stay, but try to get a room on the 2nd floor.

Amazing breakfast on the rooftop , with fresh and good quality products, also delicious homemade jams.
The owners and staff are very helpful and professional .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If this had been anywhere but Ortigia in Siracusa, you would have thought twice about venturing down the net row alley to vacanza (holiday) di Siracusa. This is no Holiday Inn as the name may suggest, but a quiet, family B&B run by the most helpful and welcoming proprietors. You immediately feel the warmth and friendliness as you arrive down the corridor leading to the reception desk. There is nothing grand, but then you are treated to the most hospitable of hosts and the true Ortigia generosity of lovely room, well kept and looked after facilities with balconies overlooking the street scenes below.
The Vacanza is tiny and compact with stairs leading to an elegant roof top breakfast patio where a fabulous breakfast is served with delicious homemade configures, and an assortment of meats, cheeses and even scrambled eggs, cooked to order.
Situated a street away from the sea it is a minute walk to all the nightlife of Ortigia not to mention the artisanal shops and more restaurants per meter than anywhere else we have been.
The accommodation was superb, the host exemplary and the surroundings without peer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We arrived during a tropical storm, most of the restaurant/museums/outdoor activities was inaccessible. Thanks to the Aretusa family, we had an amazing stay. We felt very welcome and very well taken care of.
The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious. We will defenetly go back !

The rooms are pristine, spacious, comfortable and the double bedrooms have everything you could possibly need (small fridge, stove, cooking utensils, mini shampoo, shower caps etc.). The B&B even has an elevator! The breakfast is very good, special mention goes to the homemade delicious marmelades and the pistachio cream croissants! The family who owns the B&B is extremely professional, attentive to their guests. They offered us advice and help during our stay and did their best to make our arrival as smooth as possible - which they achieved! The location is ideal, at the very heart of stunning Ortigia. We would definitely stay again at Aretusa Vacanze!
