★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My friends and I were visiting Rome and passed by this amazing place on our way to Piazza Navona. We are English teachers, and we highly value books. So this was a real treasure. The lady at the front desk suggested we go downstairs. WE ARE SO GLAD WE DID. There we met Maurizio, who was repairing a book. I asked him what was the oldest item he had, and he showed it to us! He took time to show us, to let us touch even a manuscript that is older than our entire country. It was one of the most remarkable experiences of our trip. Grazie!
