Is a rare kind of place, because is still open midnight, that because it has a pub downstairs.
If you are the kind of person that after some drinking needs a book. Well... you found it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thought we were in a bar (They were serving drinks). Then when a gentleman starting setting up a mike we thought it was to be karaoke. Finally realized it was a book club and they were discussing the gentleman's book. As our Italian is minimal at best we gave up our table to others who were standing. Was fun tho, all part of our European experience! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had seen reviews for this place and thought it would be good to visit.... Walked past lots of bustling bars on a Thursday night, dropped down the stairs in the book shop to find no-one apart from a half asleep bar man... Asked what was on tap, as some were hand written with just a name but no % or type/description, got a confused reply as only some worked, others didn't match the label... We made our excuses and left, which drew a big tut and sarcastic wave from the bar man.
There are better places within a stone's throw to spend your time and money!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to love this place and its hidden pub, they have just reopened post-lockdown and added some lovely outdoor tables.
Perfect for a quick drink and a snack before dinner, with great service and an amazing view on the bookshop!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What an amazing place. We found some great books and a few gifts to take home, but my personal favorite part was the downstairs bar. We happened to be there the night there was an Italian blues band playing and they killed it. This is on my list for my next trip to Rome.
