β β β β β rented for the week from win rent july 2018 additional insurance was cheap compared to the competition. everything went smoothly, staff were friendly and after reading all the italian rental horror stories i was delighted at how good these guys were all easy no hassle.

β β β β β We always take great care when hiring a car in Europe. There are some very nasty operators, even in the major brands.
I see three major obstacles when hiring,
1/. How long to wait at pick up
2/. Is the car good and what you expected
3/. Are they going to cheat me after I return it for invented damage and fines.
Winrent at Via Aureilia were perfect. The staff were courteous. No waiting time on a Saturday morning, the car was good and the drop off at Rome airport although unattended was very straightforward. I had acknowledgement later the same morning that our damage deposit was cleared for refunding to us.
Would definitely recommend and use again.
A note, we rent a few cars every year so we have our own annual car rental insurance which is a lot cheaper than buying the rental company insurance, however I was surprised that Winrent insurance was actually pretty good price if you take that option.

I was in a hotel on the other end of Rome - near Termini, and I had read all dreadful reviews about car rent companies near the Termini train station, I found this Win Rent office at Via Aurelia - had 8 all good reviews and took my chances. I can only praise them - renting the car took about 8 minutes - everything was all good, gave them my credit card, my passport and driving license, signed, and they gave me the keys to the car I reserved the previous day. There were no going to the car, taking note of scuffs on the car and so on - as with the other companies reviews. I just crossed the street to the parking and got my car - no defects or scuffs, few months old, 5000 kms , full gas tank - no remarks.
I've asked them if I can return the car at about 8pm - they close the office at 6pm - so they confirmed that it is not a problem - without any additional fees.
So two days later, returned the car, parked it, dropped the keys to their office, they've cancelled the authorization on my credit card and few days later credited it with the amount for the car - no hassle, no worries.
I can always recommend this office for Win Rent which are a representative for SixT as well.

2min to get a car and 1 min to give it back.
Man who meet us is veryvprofessional.
Price is very cheap, and service is better that in airport.
