★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went into the empty restaurant and wanted to sit near the beuatiful view, because like sb had written here before - the only nice thing was a view. But it was a problem for the staff. The table was prepared for four people. And even when the restaurant is empty, you are not allowed to sit there as a two people. We decided not to eat and have only drinks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AMAZING family run restaurant that makes you feel like you've experienced the REAL Castlemola, away from the crowds. They are lovely people and their food is hearty and down to earth. Follow the signs in the village for the restaurant as it's tucked away but still has great views. You can order off the menu but the chef will also show you the fresh catch of the day. Generous portions and real italian food. The 5-course menu was delicious.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible.. The only nice thing is the view but because it's there. They can't ruin that. However: The prosciutto pizza only had 2 slices of ham (not smoked) and only half of the pizza actually had ingredients in top of it. The pizza siciliana had one olive, wasn't sliced and was hard to cut because it was burnt. Also, it took them 40min to serve the food even though we were the only customers.
To make it even worse, in the end they managed to charge 5 euros more than expected by adding a 1,5€ service cost per person and charging more for a large beer than the price that was on the menu. Also, even though I asked twice, they wouldn't give me an invoice. While I was complaining about the hidden costs, the guy was complaining about me in Italian to another person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is fantastic and the staff are brilliant if you bother to get to know them. It is a family run business so there is always a lively atmosphere. The views are fantastic and the food is even better, for a real tasty treat have the berra nazionale and the steak rolls of sword of fish (sword fish rolls!). All is reasonably priced and its off the beaten track.
