★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a great hike from the city center of Taormina up to Castelmola and Bar Turrisi (+- 1 hour up). Underway you can enjoy the panoramic views of Taormina and the coast.
Bar Turrisi has several floors filled with eccentric furniture. A nice place to drink a beer or coffee and to take some pictures.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice square to enjoy cold drinks and great Italian food. Nice staff brought us a taste pizza and the most delicious Sicilian spaghetti. Before leaving we were offered a glas almond wine from the house. It doesn’t need to be said twice: when you’re in Castelmola it’s worth visiting

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Locals told us Castelmola and Bar Turrisi were MUST DOs and… yes, they were correct! From Castelmola there are unforgettable panoramic views of Taormina and Etna! A gorgeous small city with free parking nearby and a soon to be completed elevator up to the city made it an easy stop for lunch. Drinks and food were casual and fun on the top floor of the bar which had a unsurpassed view of the sea. Unbelievably gorgeous and fun experience. The bar owner has a great story of starting a decorating trend that made its mark on the gorgeous village—you must see for yourself!! Our favorite stop on the east coast of Sicily! Food was great!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Indeed, an interesting place with a specific decor. The leitmotif of this place accompanies us from the very entrance. We can see it almost everywhere, from glasses and bottles for liqueurs to lamps, furniture, paintings on the walls and tiles. Neatly and with humor blended into the surrounding scenery. At one point, we were even wondering if the pizza would also come in this specific shape.
By the way, the pizza was excellent. The dessert almond wine is also worth trying here. Pretty sweet, but just as specific as the scenery.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local in the center of Castelmola, it occupies an entire building in the church square. Known for its endless collection of fail shape objects, it offers patrons 4 floors of "display" with both indoor and outdoor coffee tables. The gastronomic proposal is good, which includes truly quality local specialties. Friendly staff even if a bit hasty. I count a little above average if you expect a bar but absolutely justified by the quality and location. Large portions!
