★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is AMAZING!! Some of the very best we've had in Italy. We had outstanding mushroom agnolotti! The pasta was thin but had an amazing chew to it and it was stuffed with the most flavorful mushroom mixture that exploded with flavor. Next we had veal in a balsamic sauce with roasted potatoes and tiny courgettes. Delightful !! For dessert we had a crema with fresh blueberries and pomegranate seeds. It was so light and yet packed with flavor!! Too die for. Our waiter was a silvered-haired gentleman who could understand our Italian and had a great sense of humor. An older woman sat is at our table and was very impolite. She was impolite to us again when we were paying. I'm not sure what all that was about. **Shrug** All that being said, it was a wonderful dinner and we would love to go back some day.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great traditional food in Modena. Everything is locally sourced. Parmeggiano Reggiano with local Balsamic Vinegar was a great way to start the evening. The bolognese was excellent! Local Lambrusco highly recommended.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got takeout and it was delicious (triangoli di squacquerone e noci + tortellini + lambrusco). Very friendly and efficient lady at the front desk helped us out and was well prepared for takeout with a nice cardboard box and aluminum packaging which kept the pasta warm for the 10 min drive back to our lodging.
Would definitely go back!

It was a comfortable atmosphere, but more importantly the food, the service, the time between courses was perfect. I don't normally do reviews but they truly deserve this one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you can find this place, you must go there. I was there twice, once around 2016, and once this summer, 2021. The memories of this place are equally great.
One of the few remaining places that make their own balsamic vinegar the old traditional way. They use local, seasonal ingredients. Their food is just spectacular. It is like coming to nonna’s house and having her cook for you. I mean, it is pretty incredible. Get their vinegar while you are there. It is spectacular.
