★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent antipasto, brilliant spaghetti vongole, and a ricotta dessert to die for with a Sicilian wine. Friendly and attentive waiters and the piazza is a wonderful setting even if you've not seen it in Montalbano. Memorable meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was not the best start. We stopped for a beer and ordered Italian beer. We got hustled into double the price craft beers.
This kind of annoyed us. We read reviews, mostly positive about the quality, but divided over the price quantity ratio.
We eventually decided to order the meal, zucchini rolls antipasto, shrimp linguine and scaloppine with mushrooms, all 3 dishes to share. The food was excellent, especially the scaloppine. My husband and I were both quite sated and our palates very happy. And the total cost quite reasonable.
Conclusion: green light, but beware of the craft beer!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an amazing dinner with my friends at La Piazzetta. The eggplants with cheese and the antipasti were delicious. The tuna was the best I’ve ever had!! The staff was very friendly and the owner Giuseppe always took the time to chat with us and to explain everything on the menu. The setting of the restaurant was perfect and we all agreed that this was the best restaurant we’ve been to in South Sicily! Thank you Giuseppe, also for the delicious limoncello!

We made two good friends in the owner and our waitress, were wowed by the amazing flavor in the classic Sicilian scacce, sugo pomodoro, etc..., and we're all together very comfortable in the cozy ambiance. We loved it, highly recommend it!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited in February during low season, there were no other customers so service was fast and very friendly. Food was delicious, especially the daily special recommended by the owner. The brand of olive oil they serve is the best I've ever had, and made the vegetables and bread so much more fragrant. I had trouble finding it in Sicilian supermarkets due to the number of olive oil brands in Sicily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband almost cried after eating, the food was so delicious! We went with the owner’s recommendations and loved them - mussels soup, tuna with onion and pasta with sardines were exquisite. Add to that perfectly paired wine, quality bread and olive oil… He really almost cried!!
