Non è possibile assistere ancora a queste cose oggi!
The tax receipt only on insistent request! They ask us 5 euros for a visit of scarce 10 minutes. On the price list at the entrance it was written that the visit would last 30 minutes. Few rooms and not worth it. We ask for a receipt and he looks at us as if we asked who knows what. In the end, luckily they did it! It is not possible to witness these things again today!

5 euro buttati.
5 euro thrown away. There is written a duration of 30 minutes communicated 20, few effective ten. The palace consists of three common rooms and non-original frescoes. Crazy the lack of seriousness and the business behind it

The building is located in the square in front of the Cathedral of San Giorgio in Ragusa Ibla. It is kept very well, even if the number of rooms that can be visited is small. The majolica of Neapolitan manufacture is superb

Visited through the LE VIE DEI TESORI festival, the Arezzo family has been present in Sicily since the 12th century and has been the protagonist of Sicilian history with increasingly important positions and investitures. The Arezzo family of Trifiletti, a cadet branch of the Arezzo della Targia, moved to Ragusa in the late 1700s and bought the building in the second half of the 1800s, still inhabited by his descendants today. The ancient names of the family (Ariziis - Arizzi) also explain the choice to decorate the family coat of arms with four hedgehogs, two on a blue background and two on a gold background. The building is in Neocalstic style, with a very simple structure. Its strategic position offers a spectacular view from the windows, on one side you can admire the Cathedral of San Giorgio, on the other the Conversation Circle and Palazzo Donnafugata.

I had high expectations given other people comments. But, I was very much disappointed. Not much to see, really. The view you get from the palace is the same you get from the street. Just visit few rooms, nothing impressing.

Wonderful palazzo in such a great condition of restoration. Special thanks to Domenico Arezzo for his guided tour in English. Only pity that only some rooms are open to public as the palazzo is actually a house hosting the family even nowadays. A must see!

The guide, the son of the current occupants , explained the family and building history in detail. However the rooms shown had simple furnishings and not the georgeous banquet setting as shown on google search. June 23, 2021
