★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice restaurant with very good food. Like most restaurants in Tropea the food is only to a certain degree typical Calabrian food. Nevertheless, this place belongs to the better restaurants in Tropea. The young owners are friendly and the wine card is also offering a wide range of good wines.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a lovely meal here. I had the fresh made pasta with eggplant and swordfish and my partner had the pasta calabrese. Both were outstanding. Not too rich and so so tasty. We also ordered a side of the local specialty baked red onions which were superb. I don’t even like onion and I was seriously enjoying their sweet crispiness. The atmosphere was lovely (even dining inside) and the service was fine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really nice restaurant among the many there are in Tropea. The stuff was friendly and the food was delicious hands down!!! The prices quite normal for the quality of the food :) I totally recommend this restaurant!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is awesome and the prices are more than fair. Yet the most important part is that the staff and the owners are the sweetest people in Calabria for sure! I forgot my backpack there once and they not only brought it to me at the station, they also drove me to Pizzo which is almost one hour way!!! I don’t know how to thank them enough for all the kindness, good food and sympathy! Please go there, you won’t regret ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is very nice, meals aren't small. The prices are a little lower than in the main street, restaurant is hidden in small, romantic street. We tasted also a local white wine (the only one which can be order for glasses,others only in whole bottle).
The one and only minus was the service. We waited around 15 minutes to place an order, as if the waitress forgot about us.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For anyone searching for a restaurant during the low-season, we were so delighted to find any place open after wandering the streets for ages. And La Pentola d’oro was a lovely surprise. The food was tasty and service was attentive and friendly.
