★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely food, not the best organizing of service. Only 1 person takes care of reservations, seating and orders.
The blondish young man seemed to be very attentive and professional waiter, also the wine guy seemed effective too to share the responsibility. Anyway if it does not change and you plan to eat there, it will take a bit longer than other places it is very busy too. We were lucky to get in without reservation but probably you need one.really good food, good service, after order even fast. I am sure it will be the top restaurant in Tropea if not already is.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved this restaurant but they were quite busy ( we hadn’t reserved so we were lucky with getting a table and decided not to be frustrated that it took quite some time to get a bottle of wine ) I don’t think the staff’s fault they were so busy. Definitely try and get a table in the square or in the little ally way, the back deck just isn’t as romantic and we had a bright washed out light above us. The food was quick to come once we ordered it which made up for the time we waited to get served. The food was delicious ! Our server was good too, but would have been good if she had some more help!

Arriving to the restaurant around 19:00 was a perfect time to show up, they gave us a table without any reservation. We ordered the food after about 5 minutes and it arrived at the table after just about 6 minutes. The food was really good and we honestly enjoyed our meal. After sitting there a while we experienced that the waiters were unprofessional, they were roaming around us like sharks and starring. It almost felt like they wanted us to leave as soon as our meal was gone from the plate.
The waitors job is to make the guests feel comfortable, that was not the case here.
We went back to the restaurant the day after to give them a second chance,this time it was worse, we had to signal to the personal about everything and it took them almost 10 minutes to give us back our change from the payment, that paints the picture pretty well.
To summarise our visit to La Lamia I would say 3 things:
1. Good food
2. Bad service
3. A lot of waiting

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great dinner at La Lamia. The food was VERY good, really great flavors and textures. The price was very reasonable. Nice wine choices. The ambiance was just perfect, a nice small square. Lovely touch was the singer who did a few songs. All in all great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dinner at La lamia was really great. The food was definitely better than most places around town. There was a slight mistake with one tumor the dish and it got corrected straight away. The staff is great and professional, unlike what we witnessed in some other restaurant in Tropea. All of the sitting is done outside at the moment in this beautiful small square but it seems they also have a courtyard. Definitely recommend to pay these guys a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We weren’t expecting much as we hadn’t had any luck really finding good food in Tropea... but La Lamia is just a fantastic little gem. You eat outdoors in an adorable courtyard and are served by a young group of friendly waiters. But the food is the very best part, as it should be. Get anything with Tropea onions and the fileja dishes are great too. We really enjoyed it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Suggestive location in the historic center. The manager was very kind and helpful. Fresh and quality food. Costs adequate to the quality. Just a small note. A young waiter, perhaps due to his inexperience, took a menu from my hand while I was reading it, dropped an object from a plate he was taking away on my wife's back and tried to convince me that the side dish I was waiting for, no longer arrived , was instead the appetizer I had received. But I'm sure he will be able to improve. Definitely recommended, we will be back, thank you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best meals I had in Italy! Is a gastronomic experience, the food is really good and different of the touristic places you found around the center. The place is lovely, a little bit hidden of the busy streets of the center. It is quiet, intimate, a great environment. The waitress was really kind and helpful, she gave perfect advice for wine and food. If you ever go to Tropea, you have absolutely to go to this restaurant!
