Excellent food and service

My steak was flavorful but overcooked and tough with too much sinew. My wife liked her chicken.

We had a mixed meat platter and several antipasti. The food was delightful, staff very friendly.

Experienced travelers know that the best restaurants in Italy are usually found far away from tourist areas like a city’s historical center. La Locanda follows this rule as it sits on the outskirts of the city. It is one of the best rosticcerias (roasted meat restaurants) in Martina Franca. Upon entering, diners will find a meat display case where they can inspect and select their cuts of meat. There is something special about being able to choose the exact cut of your steak directly from the meat counter. There are also plenty of local meat options on display like bombette and fegatini. In fact, La Locanda offers up some very unique options in this area including Philadelphia cheese and pesto stuffed bombette. My favorite so far is bombette stuffed with sun dried tomato. There are great options on the alla carte menu including meatballs, tagliata and sides for your meat. At the end of your meal, I encourage you to try one of their semifreddo desserts. They are delicious. All of this comes with extremely reasonable prices. A party of four people enjoy two courses, wine and dessert for around €50!

Meat??? super fresh and delicious, prices are very affordable

- We booked a table for 21:30, it's already 22:00 and we still don't have a table. Terrific confusion, noone knows anything... We even ordered meat but still no table. What to say? Standing here for an hour is not how I planned to pass my last dinner in this vacation. - After an hour of waiting in a corridor we've been given a table hidden behind the fridge in a terrace.. May be the meat is good but not sure it worth all the hussle. It's already 1 and a half hours and we have not seen it yet... We however got our garnish which is probably going to be cold soon (cold fries are not eatable). - The meat arrived after 2hrs it is delicious bit we are no more hungry, so everything goes take away... The worst experience ever, never again and would not recommend. There is more meat places in the area with less fatique Abbiamo prenotato un tavolo per le 21:30, sono già le 22:00 e non abbiamo ancora un tavolo. Grande confusione, nessuno sa niente ... Abbiamo anche ordinato carne ma ancora niente tavolo. Cosa dire? Stare qui per un'ora non è come avevo programmato di passare la mia ultima cena in questa vacanza. Dopo un'ora di attesa in un corridoio ci è stato dato un tavolo nascosto dietro il frigorifero in una terrazza .. Potrebbe essere che la carne è buona ma non sono sicura che ne valga la pena. Sono già passate 1 ora e mezza e non l'abbiamo ancora vistа ... Comunque abbiamo ottenuto il nostro contorno che probabilmente sarà presto freddo (le patatine fritte non sono commestibili). La carne è arrivata dopo 2 ore ed è deliziosa ma non abbiamo più fame, quindi tutto va in sacco da portare via ... La peggiore esperienza di sempre, mai più e non lo consiglierei a nessuno. Ci sono più posti di carne nella zona con meno fatica

Excellent prices, meat is good, service is not slow but the really friendly staff should focus more on details. It could be because it easily gets crowded. All an all, we will always come back at every chance. Thanks a lot for two wonderful dinners!

I think that monday it's not the best day to have a dinner in that place , was too busy no-one was checking of greene pass, we were waiting 30 min. To choose some meat after when we find some table we were waiting around 1,5h for our food, drinks also arrived after25 min. Finally when arrived the first part of our order which was sausages was warm-up in microwave because as a experience chef I can recognised this kind of tricks. We order also some fries together with the meat but we get them 20 min before the meat. At the end everything was tasty but maybe next time we will choose to come in less busy period.
