★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The restaurant had served a nice pasta with clams, but the mozzarella and ham salad were not so good.
The worst thing with this restaurant is the fact that the owner is permitting people that sale fake jewelry to walk around the restaurant and harass the eating and paying customers. We had a woman approach our table and starting begging that we should purchase fake stuff, she even had the nerve to start of by approaching our children.
When she finally came to understand that we wouldn't by anything from her she sat down with owner and started talking in a €700 phone.....
I recommend no one to go to this restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Low level of service (major waiter shouted to other waiters, a few times asking for the glasses for wine, and aproaching to Clients unprofessionally).
In addition, the courses weren’t good (e.g. overfried seafood) you had to wait so long time for your dishes without the bites earlier.
There was one benefit - great view to the castle.
Not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant restaurant on the large piazza opposite the entrance to the Aragonese castle in Otranto. Good selection of local dishes and a great variety of Pizza. I had Buffalo mozzarella with grape tomatoes and herbs, drizzled with olive oil, a favorite of mine, and orecchiette with garlic and mussels. A half liter of white house wine rounded off the dining experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the first places you’ll see when entering Otranto’s town centre through the fortress. This means they get a constant stream of patrons so don’t expect a great customer service (looong waiting times) though the staff seem to try their best but they know they’ll fill all the tables regardless. Food is OK (not great though) - we had scamorza, caponatina, orecchiette and risotto - but WAY overpriced. Good thing is that they always seem to be able to accommodate you (might ask to come back in 20’ for a table but at least you’ll sit and eat). We had prams and kids so a good overall solution to park up and fill up but if without kids there seems to be much better places nearby to explore.
