We came across this restaurant yesterday on our first day of visit to Otranto. When we sat down there were about 10 customers at the outdoor seating area and most if not all of them were served with drinks and food. It did not look very busy. We caught the eye of a waiter who understood that we were ready to order. He indicated that someone would come take our order. There was only one person in charge of taking order. He saw us but did not come to our table for a while. So I walked into the restaurant counter and politely informed them we were ready to order. I also ordered some dessert while there as it was not on the menu. We waited for another 10 to 15 min and indicated to another waiter that we are ready to place our order. The person taking order still did not come to our table and instead served other customers that arrived later than us while completely ignoring us. The dessert we ordered also never arrived. We felt that they did not appreciate our presence so we decided to inform the person taking order that we wanted to cancel the dessert and leave. He said fine and waved at me rudely suggesting that we just leave. I was frustrated and told him that the service was unacceptable as I walked out of the restaurant. He then immediately walked towards me with menace and I could sense that he was about to hit me. I was scared and walked away. He continued to chase me down the street while shouting at us to leave. The whole experience was absolutely shocking. We could not believe that this person taking order was about to physically attack us for simply saying that the service was not acceptable. This is the scariest restaurant experience we ever had and we considered calling the police afterwards. We would not recommend anyone visiting this place simply for the fact that the person taking order was prepared to physically attack customers.

Looks nice when passing by. However food is expensive compared to similar places. Moreover, the food that we ordered was not of high quality. So, value for money is low. Furthermore, since plates, bowls and cutlery are from very lightweight disposable materials (plastic etc), they tend to fly away with the often present sea wind on this square. It's just very impractical. Last but not least these disposables just create a lot of unnecessary waste. I give the place a two star rating instead of a one star because of the pretty terrace.

Extremely rude waiter, an Italian friend told me you could define him as "cafone". It's a pity as I heard really good reviews to visit it but following such treatment I'm happy I went somewhere else.

Nice service, amazing spot, good food overall. Definitely worth a stop during sunset, it’ll take your breath away.

The restaurant has nice terrace with a view. The waiter was also really kind, but food was a bit overpriced. You can get better foot for better price at other places that are around.
