I expressed my grievances directly to the owner yesterday ... we stopped in this place with the best of intentions ... Spartan as we like ... I agree with what another adventress expressed ... too much talk! ... the mixed croutons were really miserable ... we were hoping to make up for the hemp tagliatelle ... they arrived cold on the table ... good but cold! ... not to mention the quantity ... with 30 euros of tagliatelle for 3 people surely the quantity should have been different. ... we wanted to continue but we stopped. 19/08/2020 I complete my review after the merchant's reply. I repeat that the hemp tagliatelle were brought to the table cold ... I have no idea if they were cooked at the time but they were cold! The merchant cannot be justified with a joke! ... if the pasta is cooked express it arrives at the steaming table! ... even in August! ... as for the "courtesy" to get us the shade at the table, I think it was in one's own interest and having to put us in the conditions of not being in direct sunlight. What can we say that not even a small basket of bread was delivered to the table? was it required?

Small but welcoming place, the decor recalls the past and the culture of the place, Umbrian Marche wines from renowned and niche wineries, (sheep ricotta is simply fantastic when it is available) the cutting boards are always with local and genuine products .. the pasta is made strictly by hand by the owner .... highly recommended the strangozzi alla spoletina and the fabulous zuppa inglese (house dessert) ... for those looking for an eccentric place full of personality and want to eat under the sign of local tradition with refined and niche products ... this is the right place.

Ambiente piccolo, particolare, estremamente accogliente e pulito. Cucina a vista microscopica e pulitissima.
Osteria-wine bar and small restaurant, strong dishes based on pasta in various formats (including gnocchi) made by hand right there in front of our eyes (only for connoisseurs - others remain pure "at home" - and which obviously has a different price from commercial pasta, also available). The Spoleto-style strangozzi and those with Norcia black truffles are delicious, worthy of mention. Excellent selection of typical local products (including local black truffles, lentils and potatoes), to be consumed at the table or to take away. Excellent table service where you can enjoy, in addition to the excellent pasta made on the spot, "platters" of local cheeses and meats, delicious mixed roasts and simple bruschetta with Umbrian oil or truffles and excellent vegetarian salads. Small, particular, extremely welcoming and clean environment. Microscopic and very clean kitchen. Prices in line with the local average, compared to decidedly superior quality (it is known that the prices of Colfiorito are higher than those of the city, such as the nearby Foligno, Assisi or Spoleto). It is not a food shop "where they also give food", but a restaurant where you can also buy excellent local products. The connoisseur who goes there goes back, surely it is to be attended regularly, if possible.

Unlike many people who only sprout nastiness, I was really good! Very good, typical and above all fresh products! Handmade pasta, all made on the spot with the freshest ingredients! the owners are fantastic and make you feel at home right away! Those who do not appreciate this place can eat at home because there is nothing to really say!

Only local products, great attention to detail, exquisite dishes cooked with skill. An experience not to be missed also for the friendliness and genuineness of the two sisters who run it.

What a pleasant surprise ...... umpo 'we expected it, though! ..... a small, neat and welcoming place run by two sisters. Excellent bruschetta (cherry tomatoes, radicchio and anchovies, chicken livers); the Colfiorito mozzarella pearls and the balsamic chickpea salad really remarkable; we have identified some flavored and sautéed potatoes in one of the few and collected tables that occupy the environment where the Two cook and deliver excellent regional labels with more than honest refills - not failing to keep even more commercial Classics on paper. Tonight excellent freshly pulled stringozzi with two sauces: sun-dried tomatoes, capers and Taggiasca olives; spoletina with tomato but slightly spicy. After two bottles of superior classic Verdicchio with a final pucciante cantucci and ciambelline we paid a very correct bill happy with our choice.

Small place ... friendly staff ... a lot of dialectic but .... behind every thing praised too much there is always the macagna ... high prices both for the service and for the place. As you eat on the street, and the food is cooked "do it yourself" ... so you can't afford exorbitant prices for dishes cooked like this ... if we had been in a restaurant there could be ... almost 80 euro in two. I put two stars for good food, otherwise if I could put 0 to take advantage of it I would have put it.

Not Recommend! Within 10 minutes we were the only people in the place. We spent ages reading the menu, meanwhile we ordered water and wine. When we came to order the food we were told the menu was indicative and none of the things we wanted were available. In fact the only choices were 2 different tomato sauces with which to put with a choice of 8 different pastas (4 fresh 12 euro, 4 dried 8 euro) and either sausages, zampone (pigs trotters) or lamb sticks (these are sold in all the supermarkets and are always stringy and tough). We should have walked out but we had wine open and it was late. We just ate the mixed meat and cheese plater, which was excellent. It was very cold in the restaurant with all the glass covered in condensation - there was a heater, but it was off; even though we didn't take out coats off by the time we had eaten one course we were cold. The music would have been really nice unfortunately it was played through the worst sounding speaker I have ever heard - like a cassette tape player's speaker from the 80s. The place is quirky in a nice way, the wine is nice and very cheap: perhaps if you want a quick tomato pasta (not cheap though) and sausages and it is not too cold outside this is the place for you. I understand that it was a quiet time but they have to be honest and immediately explain what their menu is when a customer walks in. I posted the above and then the owner replied - sadly the owner is being disingenuous - at best! (giving credence to a previous reviewer who described her as "Furbo"). My wife and I went out to have a full lunch ready to spend a good sum of money and spend some time together. We ordered the platter (there was no other choice other than bruschette if I recall correctly), we then ordered a pasta with truffles (there being no other choice other than tomato sauce, I then ordered guinea fowl and my wife ordered a really nice sounding pork fillet, there was one other meat choice which also sound good. We spent a long time deciding what to eat (partly because it took a long time to work out that the apparently fabulous pasta choice was just tomato sauce and different pasta) and had started our wine - but there was no pasta with truffle, there was no pork, there was no guinea fowl and the third choice of meat was also not available. Why the owner says that the only thing not avaialble was truffles I have no idea - perhaps she didn't realise that I can edit my review! We did try to suggest that the owner has a simple blackboard with the food avaialble written on it explaining that we felt misled and had wasted out time considering the menu but she was having none of it and it was the owner that described her menu as 'indicative' not I (and clearly she will not heat the place or change the music either!!) - I actually really approve of short menus in small restaurants (but the food has to be inviting!!) but we went out for a big meal and whilst the owner considers that us paying 20 euro for a meal is a good thing, for us it ruined our day. There are restaurants that serve pasta and tomato sauce and sausages with ice cream to follow but they are for lunch for workers and farmers etc. I will not continue this conversation I am sure readers will understand exactly the situation no matter what the owner now writes.
