★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A really great way to get close to the water and see a different side to Venice. I can't recommend it highly enough.
Online booking was simple. We were welcomed warmly and given a good safety briefing and a choice of single or double kayaks. We were a small mixed ability group, but our beginner soon got the hang of it and we paddled at a good leisurely pace.
The very knowledgeable and friendly guide brought the city's history to life, from ancient times to the present day. We even saw a large jellyfish, as the canals are apparently seeing a resurgence in wildlife as traffic in the lagoon has decreased during the pandemic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and I took the Canals tour and I loved it! Great way to see the canals and surrounding from a totally different vantage point. I have more experience than my husband with kayaking. He had some difficulty in the beginning and did not describe it as "relaxing" since you have to be very cognizant of your surroundings due to all the boats. But that was one of my favorite parts, I enjoyed the challenge. Regardless, our guide did a great job of making both of us comfortable and most of the tours seem like they can be adjusted to any experience level. Great option in Venice for active people who need a break from the city!

The staff were friendly and helpful. Chris and I chose the 1 hour tour as we needed to catch a train in the afternoon.
We completed the paperwork formalities and were provided comfortable shorts, shirts, gloves, and water shoes. There is a safe for valuables and storage lockers for your street clothes in the changing room.
They recommended a tandem Hobie kayak with pedal propulsion for Chris in the front to have hands free for taking pictures. I paddled from the back. It is very stable.
There was a short but complete orientation and we launched. We were cautioned to not touch any gondolas and not use paddles for pushing off the walls.
Some of the canals are very narrow and there are some tight turns. It helps to have some experience but it is not hard to do.
Nadir was our knowledgeable guide who related some history and his own personal experiences in the canals. He also picked up a fair amount of floating debris. They do their part to help keep the waterway clean.
We highly recommend this tour. I would like to do the night tour in the future.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great Experience! There was only another couple taking the tour with us. Our guide was amazing. He had a humorous way of telling us facts about the history of the city and venetian legends. He even let us decide to take a little detour to the open sea. Can only recommend it.
