★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Vado in questo ufficio postale da una vita (mia madre ci ha anche lavorato, moltissimi anni fa) e mi addolora davvero vedere quanto sia peggiorato negli anni il modo di trattare l'utenza. Anche se l'ufficio è vuoto quando entri non ti danno nemmeno il buongiorno, anzi già tanto se non ti guardano in cagnesco. Si viene trattati con frettolosità, malagrazia, e la benchè minima disponibilità al "problem solving", come va di moda chiamarlo adesso. So cosa vuol dire stare al pubblico perchè anche io lavoro allo sportello in un ente pubblico, ma se trattassi gli utenti così mi avrebbero già licenziato. Un sorriso e un minimo in più di disponibilità non costano niente, e migliorano la vita non solo all'utente ma anche all'operatore.
I have been going to this post office for a lifetime (my mother also worked there, many years ago) and it really pains me to see how much the way of dealing with users has deteriorated over the years. Even if the office is empty when you enter they don't even give you a good morning, indeed a lot if they don't scowl at you. You are treated with haste, bad grace, and the slightest willingness to "problem solving", as it is fashionable to call it now. I know what it means to be with the public because I also work at the counter in a public body, but if I treated users like this they would have already fired me. A smile and a little more availability cost nothing, and improve the life not only for the user but also for the operator.
