The camper was excellent and met all our needs. They directed us to an app to help with finding camping spots and it was great. This was such a fantastic option for a vacation. Would highly recommend!

M	Michael Radocchia on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great service from the Milan staff who helped us switch our reservation from a manual to automatic transmission at the last minute and also add a day at the end with no effort, just a phone call. Both pickup and drop off were on time and quick. The van itself was a little beaten up and stained but was very clean and functional overall and the perfect home for a two week trip around Southern France, Switzerland, and Northern Italy.

I’ll save you the specifics, but do yourself a favor and avoid. We had a great trip but can not attribute that to the rental process.
M	Mathieu Turcotte on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst rental service ever. When we arrived in Milan, our van was not the one we had reserved. We had to wait 1 day and sleep on site to receive a dirty and unprepared van. To make up for this, they offered us premium insurance, but then billed us a month later. In order to complete our 7 day itinerary, we agreed to return the van one day later, on August 9th. The rental service agreed, but did not register this change in their computer system. On August 8, 2021, they forced us to return and bring the van. We had to drive several kilometers to arrive on time. Despite this they asked us to pay a late deposit. We are still in discussion by email to prove their mistakes with proof of reservation and payment .... We were two nurses on vacation. After a year of stress at the hospital, our vacation was literally ruined by their bad faith and incompetence. I will never recommend this company.
A	Alastair Pryce on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hired a camper for 2 weeks in Italy. The camper was brand new having only covered 24km on collection. Check in process was efficient and friendly and included free transfer from the airport. The guys running it have a really passion for campers. No issues with the van for the 2 weeks we had it - clean, reliable and comfortable. Return of the van was simple and again they dropped us to the airport. The only thing I would really recommend is to take out the cleaning €25 euro extra upfront of €100 on return as i understood the expectation is that you return the van in same condition inside and out. Can’t really fault Indy campers. Will definitely use again in the future.
B	Balvinder Handa on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would not recommend booking with Indie Campers. Whilst it places itself as a friendly independent company, the catalogue of failures are very long. Below is a list of them from our VW California rental for 8 days in Milan: 1. Highly deceptive and scheming booking system that charges you for an extra day. We were charged for 9 days when we had the van for below 8 x 24 hour days. 2. Unlike a normal car rental company that operates with a surplus of cars offering flexibility of timing on pick ups. We had to wait 3 hours before our van was ready. 3. The van was in a poor condition and had large dents, scrapes, a crack in the windscreen and was not even washed externally. 4. Inside the sliding cupboard doors were broken and held by duct tape. 5. Seats were stained. 6. Sink cover was broken. 7. A window blind was missing. 8. Equipment was super budget IKEA s cheapest. Plastic frisbee like plates and no knives. The worst featherweight pillows and blankets you can imagine. 9. Whilst the staff in Milan are very friendly, especially Alfonso, they are completely incapable of sorting anything out because the corporate centre is elsewhere and mostly uncontactable 10. Our messages went unanswered when we did attempt to contact them. 11. A large number of rip off charges exist from a €100 euro cleaning fee to €39 daily insurance options. 12. A ridiculously large €2000 bank hold is placed if you don't opt for €39 per day insurance. 13. There seems to be a general lack of staff and inflexibility about pick up and drop offs from airports.
l	lets taco about food on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst experience they will ruin your trip. They double charged my account so all the money I had for the trip was locked causing me to waste a week of hanging around not able to do anything. They didn’t show me where anything was. You can’t call anyone to get your questions answered. You have to go through a live chat system, which if you don’t have wifi is a hard thing to do. They don’t get back to you for hours. The van was nice heated but major water issues that they just kept telling me to fill it up. There is no fill up stations in Italy. I had a better time in France. I bought the 200km a day but that is not far enough, so that keeps you kinda locked. Since I dint have water the camper was a little more dirty then I would like to return and they charged me a lot of money for it. I would stay away from the company as much as you can not worth the hassle or time. I think you can have more of a better trip elsewhere.
