★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was the very best dining experience I had in Italy. Homey and well priced the food was absolutely impeccable. They cooked a soup for my mom from scratch and made us feel right at home. Could not have had a better experience. I'm dreaming about their octopus and polenta dish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything about Il Veliero was top-notch! We happened to stop in for dinner just before the Euro 2020 semi-final match with Belgium was about to begin. Despite the fact that all of their tables were reserved, they brought us a table from inside and set it up outside so we could sit down, eat, and watch with everyone else - what amazing hosts! All of our food was delicious - mussels as our antipasto and each pasti - deliziosa! I really enjoyed my penne all'arrabbita. Just the right amount of spice, fresh tomato flavor, and perfectly al dente pasta. It was so much fun to enjoy our delicious dinner while being amongst the local crowd in the piazza as Italia won. We truly appreciated their gracious service, making sure we were taken care of, even during the important match. Grazie!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife and I came twice to this restaurant, because we thought that the prices were alright (considering the touristic area) for a very satisfying quality.
The menu offers enough choice for all tastes. We tried the appetizer plate of the house, as well as some pasta and seafruit dishes, and desserts. All dishes were tasty, alledgedly most of them are home made, out of fresh ingredients. I can believe that.
The service was ok: the waiting time was not too long, and the waitress we had was very friendly and nice. She took time to give us some information about the dishes.
All in all: no stunning experience but absolutely satisfying and I would recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just in general horrible experience. Old mozarella, tasteless pasta, acceptable pizza. Seabream did not come as adverticed and lacking spices. Our table neighbours did not finish their pasta either. Cancelled their secondi. When complaining about the tasteless al‘arrabiata, waiter claimed they did not have pepperonici. No one asked us if we were satisfied etc. Avoid at all costs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Most delicious dinner I had in Italy in this quaint beautiful town of Atrani. Patrccia and her sons are such gracious welcoming hosts… I enjoyed some time with her in her kitchen while she held out a live fish that she was going to cook for us.. the lobster dish was fantastic as well.. the folks of the town are so caring and helping her while she took care of the business. Her husband who at the time was recovering in the hospital - hope he is back home, makes batches of tiramisu in round jars - again best ever !

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid the fish dishes. We went twice, first time we got Pasta and it was good. Second time we got fish and it was unfortunately quite a mess. My partner completely finished her meal before I got mine, same fish on both plates but mine cost more, small portion. The service is nice which is a redeeming factor.
