★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our best meal in Amalfi. Located above the main street in Amalfi, request an outside seat so you can people watch while enjoying your meal.
The menu has many selections but fish seems to be there specialty. We ordered one of the fish specials and it was delicious.
They have a very extensive wine list and our server was very helpful with suggesting a wine that would go well with our dinner.
Da Gemma is a must try while in Amalfi.

They forgot to bring and later inform me about my drinks, the potatoes with fish were half-cooked, and they charged 6 euro for bread that we didn't order. Somehow you feel scammed after your dinner. Never coming back, worst experience in Amalfi. Stay away from this place!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In search for a special menu and for a warm experience we unexpectedly found ourselves in the very comforting trattoria. We had a bottle of wine that fit our budget, a first dish with cheese and vegetables, two really good pastas. Before ordering desert we were served an amazingly delacate homemade mandarin sorbe, and after desert, we got cookies and a lemonchelo shot. All so good, and with a smile. Thank you so much for the time we shared. Green pass was checked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent value for the price and pretty much impeccable food and presentation with authentic Italian style service still with actual local feeling. For the start bread. Outstanding home made bread. Beautiful plating. Octopus starter three way - what a great way to present it although one of three could be a bit better. Deep fried one was so good though my son ate it. Classic hundred years old pasta Genovese - wow. Depth of meat sauce with paccheri. Lamb great, local cockles pasta great. Strong potent limoncello at the end. Warm dark night in Amalfi and such a great food. Definitely visit! Obviously very popular with locals too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We loved this restaurant. The two-way caprese salad was wow, the three-way octopus was fantastic too. Tune steak was great, pasta with truffle was very delicious. The staff was very welcoming. Definitely a go-to place in Amalfi.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried to make a reservation same day but never got a confirmation. We showed up at the requested time anyway, and staff were kind enough to seat us even without a reservation despite being busy.
The service was excellent. The food was excellent. The bread was excellent. We received a complimentary appetizer and dessert cookie plate. The tuna tartare, fried octopus, and catch of the day were highlights from the menu.
There is a 3€ service charge per person, but this isn’t uncommon in Italy. Well worth it IMO. I hope to return someday!
