★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ristorante storico sulla piazzetta prima dell'entrata di Calcata Vecchia, una volta aperta la porta ti senti a casa. Il cibo squisito non troppo elaborato ricorda i sapori genuini di una volta, lasciate spazio per i dolci che meritano un assaggio. Il titolare scambia volentieri due chiacchiere e trasmette quello che racconta il piccolo borgo, facendoci assaggiare anche altre pietanze. Sicuramente torneremo presto a trovarlo
 Historic restaurant on the small square before the entrance to Calcata Vecchia, once you open the door you feel at home. The exquisite, not too elaborate food is reminiscent of the genuine flavors of the past, leave room for sweets that deserve a taste. The owner willingly exchanges a chat and transmits what the small village tells us, letting us taste other dishes as well. We will definitely be back to see him soon

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Decent family restaurant just outside of the gates. We were there in low season and the place was packed, mainly with locals.
The portions a big, but the wine is cheap.
Three halls are interestingly decorated: first hall with movie stars like Alain Delon and Marcello Mastroianni; second hall with classic cars and the owners apparent mascotte Mussolini; the third hall dedicated to the almost mythical legends of Bus Spencer and Terence Hill.
A nice touch are the Terence Hill-Bud Spencer western beans as antipasto.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a restaurant for the locals, which tells you the food is good, but the service was not great. We ordered a range of dishes from starters to mains, but everything came at once and the food was not quite thrown at us, but not far off. Some people's meals arrived much later than others. So it wasn't ideal. That said the food was good and cheap and Calcata is certainly worth a visit, but use the parking provided 10 mins walk away from Calcate Vechia as it's chaotic there.
