1.5€ assolutamente ben spesi.
Entered almost by chance we were pleasantly surprised, a dip in the history of Gallipoli. Congratulations to the guide, professional and very well prepared. € 1.5 absolutely well spent.

Ancient oil mill in historic Gallipoli. Possibility to visit it by showing the green pass at a cost of € 1.50. Interesting is the recorded voice that tells you about the use made of it and the life that the workers of the time led. Small, but for the cost and the explanation if you pass through the old Gallipoli I suggest you stop by.

Worth a visit. Historic oil mill for the production of lampante oil. Dug in the carparo and very well restored. The local guide was very prepared and illustrated the interesting history of the oil trade in Gallipoli. Ticket with the cost of a coffee, it deserves them all

In a few square meters we are made to understand how much the south mattered more than the north. Gallipoli's lamp oil was listed on the London stock exchange! At the same time the conditions of the workers and the animals were slavery

A few meters from the Cathedral opens this underground oil mill, which can be visited at a cost of 1.5 euros. Once off, a recorded tape illustrates the activities that took place here, the precarious living conditions of men and animals and all those activities dedicated to the production of the precious olive oil. Also interesting for children!

Historic place that is worth a visit to discover an unknown side of Gallipoli and also some goodies about the history of oil. The cost is very low (1.5 €) and the visit does not last long (15 / 20min), but thanks to the competent staff who provide an exhaustive explanation they are more than enough. The same explanation is also provided in a foreign language thanks to a recorded voice. Access only with mask and Green Pass.

Interesting history and well-preserved. Inexpensive entrance with audio in your language of preference. It takes 5-10 mins to check out and worth it to see a big part of the town’s history and foundation.

Fun little historical spot that tells you all about the historical olive oil presses that were dig into the ground in Gallipoli. The oil was used for lamps and the conditions were awful--blindfolded donkeys and poor air quality for the workers. But it was a booming business until electricity took over. It's €1.50 and took me about 20 mins-they give you a laminated history in your language and the press itself is just 1 big room (and musty) so not too crazy to get around. Interesting and worthwhile, but not a must-see (even for someone who loves cooking like I do!).
