Tracce delle radici cristiane attraverso segni lasciati dalle generazioni nel tempo. Officially inaugurated on 12 July 2004 with the contribution of the Italian Episcopal Conference and the European Union and the Puglia Region, the diocesan museum of Gallipoli represents an instrument at the service of the memory and pastoral care of the Church. Traces of Christian roots through signs left by generations over time.

Soldi buttati al vento di Gallipoli! Show on Fibonacci really disappointing. Much better one done in my son's high school, curated by the students. Too bad Zichichi put his face on us. La mostra su Fibonacci è stata molto interessante... le terrazze sono da sogno..!!! I returned a few years later, and I saw the museum greatly improved, as an exhibition and as a preparation. The exhibition on Fibonacci was very interesting ... the terraces are dreamy .. !!!

Occupa la sede dell’antico Seminario, attiguo alla Basilica Concattedrale di Sant’Agata, nel cuore del centro storico di Gallipoli. Edificio barocco, realizzato nel decennio tra il 1750 e il 1759 ad opera dei vescovi Brancone e Savastano, il Seminario restò in attività per oltre due secoli, cessando la sua originaria funzione sul finire degli anni Settanta del secolo scorso. The Diocesan Museum - Section of Gallipoli was officially inaugurated on 12 July 2004. It occupies the seat of the ancient Seminary, adjacent to the Basilica Concattedrale of Sant’Agata, in the heart of the historic center of Gallipoli. Baroque building, built in the decade between 1750 and 1759 by the bishops Brancone and Savastano, the Seminary remained in operation for over two centuries, ceasing its original function in the late seventies of the last century.
R	Raffaello on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Orario di apertura pomeridiana riportato sul cartello al portone d'ingresso 17.30...alle 17.38 si presenta ed apre il portoncino di passaggio, CHE POI RICHIUDE, una dipendente che dice che aprirà in in minuto... dopo ulteriori 5 (cinque) minu ti di vana ulteriore attesa ci siamo arresi e ce ne siamo andati. Se è questo il modo di gestire una risorsa culturale...e relativi introiti, buona fortuna!!! Afternoon opening hours shown on the sign at the entrance door 17.30 ... at 17.38 the passage door shows up and opens, WHICH THEN CLOSES, an employee who says that it will open in a minute ... after a further 5 (five) minutes of vain further waiting we gave up and left. If this is the way to manage a cultural resource ... and related income, good luck !!!

È da sottolineare la bellezza del refettorio con arredi originali. Sono molto affascinanti i reperti provenienti dal tesoro della concattedrale. Beautiful diocesan museum. It is located near the Gallipoli co-cathedral in a graceful seventeenth-century seminary. The information panels are also well done. The beauty of the refectory with original furnishings should be emphasized. The finds from the treasury of the co-cathedral are very fascinating.
