M	Michele Esposito on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ L'interno, ad unica navata rettangolare decorata con fastosi stucchi, ospita un marmoreo altare maggiore sul quale è collocata la tela di Luca Giordano raffigurante la Madonna della Purità tra San Giuseppe e San Francesco d'Assisi. La navata è completamente ricoperta da settecenteschi dipinti su tela attribuiti a Oronzo Letizia e per la maggior parte al murese Liborio Riccio. Del Riccio sono la Moltiplicazione dei Pani e dei Pesci sulla controfacciata e le quattro scene bibliche (Caino e Abele, Adamo ed Eva, Mosé, Davide e Golia) sulle pareti laterali. Sulla volta sono presenti tele raffiguranti scene tratte dall'Apocalisse. Interessanti sono gli stalli lignei a decorazione policroma del XVIII secolo e l'ottocentesco pavimento maiolicato. Nella chiesa è conservata la statua della Madonna della Misericordia, della prima metà dell'800, popolarmente detta della Desolata, portata in processione la mattina del Sabato Santo con la statua del Cristo Morto. Altre statue sono quelle settecentesche della Madonna del Canneto e di Santa Maria della Purità, in legno, e di Santa Cristina (1866), in cartapesta. The interior, with a single rectangular nave decorated with sumptuous stuccos, houses a marble high altar on which is placed the painting by Luca Giordano depicting the Madonna of the Purity between San Giuseppe and San Francesco d'Assisi. The nave is completely covered by eighteenth-century paintings on canvas attributed to Oronzo Letizia and for the most part to the Murese Liborio Riccio. Del Riccio are the Multiplication of Pani and Pisces on the counter-façade and the four biblical scenes (Cain and Abel, Adam and Eve, Moses, David and Goliath) on the side walls. On the vault there are paintings depicting scenes from the Apocalypse. Interesting are the wooden stalls with polychrome decoration of the eighteenth century and the nineteenth-century majolica floor. In the church is preserved the statue of the Madonna della Misericordia, of the first half of the 800, popularly called the Desolata, carried in the procession on the morning of Holy Saturday with the statue of the Dead Christ. Other statues are those of the eighteenth-century Madonna del Canneto and Santa Maria della Purita, wood, and Santa Cristina (1866), paper mache.

Pochi festeggiamenti a causa delle restrizioni dovute al Covid. Chiesetta deliziosa vicina al mare un tempo dedicata ai pescatori. Il camioncino delle ortolane davanti all:ingresso testimonia la vivacità popolare del luogo al mattino.
