All together nothing I need in my holidays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very tasty fish food in the Old Town of Gallipoli. The Osteria seems to have rebranded or changed owners quite recently, and the location itself has been renovated too. We were a bit skeptical at first to try it, due to some of the "bad" reviews, but as it came recommended by our host in town, we decided to give it a go. We were absolutely not disappointed! The food was tasty and the service attentive. The atmosphere was on the relaxed side, but all tables were occupied, so having a reservation seems to be important (at least for dinners)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really fresh seafood - great recommendation from my B&B host Antonella! Had the sea urchin toast for a starter and the squid and swordfish linguine. Both of which were stellar. The sea urchin had a light taste of the ocean and was very silk and soft, indicating its freshness. The tomato sauce in the linguine absorbed the tasty sweetness of the fish and squid and pasta was cooked to al dente, giving it a nice bite to match the seafood. The rose wine that Luciano (the waiter) recommended also paired very well with all the food we had. All in all, a seafood lover's paradise.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is extremely overpriced. Very touristy. And the food was small portions and not great by any sense of the word. Highly recommend finding another place to eat. We were unimpressed by a waiter that overcharged us for food and tried to pretend if was off the menu. Bad experience all around. There are way better options to eat than this place!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a little out of the way, don't be put off by the nearby construction. We sat outside and had sea bass, king prawns, and several sides. All was delicious. The baked green tomatoes were a special treat!
