Hotel Residence Cenisio

The pictures that they use are far from the truth. There are mould spots in the room, the curtains are ripped or missing... the overall cleanliness is subpar

After 2 hours of check-in, I requested (very politely - to not cause any inconvenience to the team) to change the room as it smelt smokey(embedded cigarettes & a strong breeze of cigarettes coming from somewhere). Request was ignored (I recorded the staff speaking Italian & used translator to understand what they were saying as the woman turned aggressive). I suffered really bad breathing for 2 nights, severe headache for 2 days due to inhaling the smell both nights. Noise level in the hotel was unbelievable. I requested a 'quiet room' upon booking - BAD MISTAKE! We could hear every footstep - people walking across the landing. People walking and running back and forth the stairs and hallway. Guests in the rooms above and adjacent. There is absolutely NO soundproofing. At one point I woke up in a fright thinking people came into our room - it was so clear & loud. 2nd night guests were running around like as though it was a circus. Screaming, laughing and running around the hotel during the night, smoking wherever they pleased. 3am till 8am guests were smashing stuff in the room above, moving around the furniture non-stop, banging on the walls, having a party with non-guests (bringing in girls), jumping out of the window (onto a flat ceiling which makes it level to our room). The staff were VERY unprofessional (even before arriving to the hotel). New (COVID) curfew & certain closures of shops had been enforced the day before our arrival in Italy/Milan itself. I called the hotel the morning of our check-in to get more details - really unhelpful receptionist who told me everything was normal and to just come and then they will advise us what we can/cannot do. WRONG INFORMATION. Major shopping centres were closed (the only reason we were coming, luckily I got precise information elsewhere which enabled us to rearrange plans) The evening staff do not speak English. Upon check-out staff member didn't acknowledge my complaint, no apology or empathy to the situation. Surprised? What was good you ask? Big room, good wifi and parking on-site.

Run down neighborhood but does not feel unsafe. 5 min walking distance of the metro. Hotel is reasonable clean. Room was really clean and bathroom was nice. Value for money is great. Although the hotel is located near the train station you don’t really hear it. We will go again.

Our car was broken into in the car park during the daytime. The car park is directly behind the hotel. We had two windows smashed and the lock broken. Other cars in the car park also had their lock broken. I didn't realise the lock was broken until later that day. I tried to call the hotel over and over again so they could warn other guests but they never answered the phone. Also the floor in our room had thick dust. I did not sleep because I was stressed about our car and the room was so cold and dirty.

„Four of us spent a night here. The rooms were not clean but they were cold due to lack of central heating. We asked the reception to give any kind of heater or at least thicker blankets but they couldn't help. The doors were also broken, pieces were missing, we couldn't close them.”

+ close to the metro and tram, 24h reception, good price - this place is a little bit not well maintained. I mean it's rather clean but the furniture are a little bit old and worn out. And there is almost no kitchen stuff, loke kettle or towels. Only cuttlery, cups, plates, one pot and pan Overall it's ok if you don't have some very high expectation.

The price was great. Place have pretty good location and was very clean. Comfy bed! The receptionist was very helpful.

The worst experience ever. I wish I have been chosen hostel instead of this. Completely not worth it's price. Whatever you see in the picture or what is written in description as facilities (refrigerator, kettle, small kitchen or at least cooker, sofa with chairs) is not provided; the only one thing you will get is bed, which is with extra old bedshit and another people's pieces of hair on top :) and of course twin bed is counted as two attached to each other single beds with space in between :)) My advice, never choose this residence, for the same price a lot of better options could be found.
