Hotel Palazzo Decumani

We had a great time at this hotel. It was very close to entertainment, restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly and we especially liked the high ceilings, black out curtains, and large bath towels. I highly recommend it. The welcome drink is also a bonus, especially after traveling.

Beautiful Hotel in the Historic Old Town. The rooms really are as beautiful as the photos - and very comfortable. Barbara at the front desk was lovely inside and out and so helpful. They have a nice bar that comes alive at night - bartender very knowledgeable and professional. And he's a chef too and makes the delicious bar snacks! The street looks a bit interesting but you are in the historical old town, which is lively and fun. Beware the motorbikes though, they speed up and down these narrow streets with no care of safety.

Perfect hotel! Lovely big room and its centrally located! Cannot reccomend more! Great staff!

Beautiful hotel and close to all. Not sure what these recent complainers are talking about. We had room 203 was gorgeous.

Pros: walking distance to lots of shops and places to eat, hotel staff is very nice, great breakfast with delicious apple filled croissants! The room was a great size and clean. Cons: The shower had no curtain but a glass door that extended only to half way of the shower, water sprays and leaks everywhere. Since it is located in a busy area, it can be noisy when trying to sleep. The TV is tiny. The bed's are hard/firm. (I don't prefer a hard bed). Overall my experience was just okay. The hotel permits smoking so smelling smoke all night long was not a pleasant stay in addition to the noisy streets.

This hotel is in a very unsafe area, maybe past reviews from a year ago precovid are from a different time but it was very dirty outside the hotel with trash and graffiti and the neighborhood was extremely unsafe. We decided to leave because of this. I have been to 76 countries and in a lot of sketchy areas this was one of the worst. They don’t mention this or show photos because they are aware it is a problem. It was over and definitely not worthy of 4 stars.

We had a one night stay in Naples and used this hotel as our home base. The hotel looked extremely worn down. The bathroom smelled of sewage. For a four star hotel, it really missed expectations. All of that could be looked past… but the lady working the front desk was supremely unhelpful. I had emailed beforehand about having them help us arrange a COVID test, and they said they could direct us to a pharmacy upon arrival to easily get a test on the day of, not to worry. As a result, we didn’t get it in the previous location since we wanted to test as close to our flight as possible. When we got to the hotel, she sent us to two pharmacy locations, both of which said they didn’t have COVID tests. Frustrated after walking around 60 mins in the heat, we asked if she could help us call her other recommended pharmacies to confirm they had tests available. She said, “You just have to do it yourself, other guests have done it.” We basically wasted our last afternoon of vacation searching for tests because they had reassured us prior to our arrival that it would be easy to arrange. Being able to accurately direct travelers and to COVID testing locations seems like the bare minimum in 2021. We ended up cabbing to the airport and back since we confirmed ourselves that tests were available there. Really awful and unprofessional service (the hotel was also not busy and she was not helping other guests). The location is central and close to some tourist attractions, but the neighborhood is unfortunately pretty trashy (literally, there were piles of trash everywhere and a lot of litter flying around in the streets).

Not a 4-star hotel, unlike they advertise. The surroundings are kind of weird. There’s one good thing though - it’s right in the historical center of Naples.
