★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I cycled up the Stelvio pass from Bormio Terme spa. When I reached this hotel I could see chairs outside and made my way there. It was past the lunchtime trade around 1500 but they made me feel welcome. I bought a pannini and a milky coffee (latte machiatto) and a cake.
The tables and inside was lovely and clean. The service was very quick and she understood several languages. I used English and Italian.
I parked my cycle next to the tables by the side of the road. This was allowed and I also asked for my cycle bottle to be topped up with water. I assume the water is from the mountains as it tasted fine.
Just opposite is a sign of around 2800 mtrs where everyone passing seemed to take pictures of their car, motorcycle or cycle.
Great place to stop and recharge. Very friendly, great value and service.
Home made cakes.
Latte machiatto was great.
