★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really nice place. The people we're really nice, and the food was awesome. The morning we left there was no hot water so they discounted our stay. The bathroom smelled like cigarettes, but after sitting it out a bit it was better.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is right at the base of the mountain with easy access to the top. The staff are very helpful and friendly, and the rooms are cozy. Nothing can beat the view of the mountain from the room. In this small town lots of cyclists and day visitors pass by, bringing a lot of energy. It is possible to take bus to here, Fonte Cerreto, however it is not very frequent and you must buy a ticket before hand.
Fiordigigli is the green building on the right.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Perfect place when you want to go to Gran Sasso, nice and helpfull staff. We were very satisfied and when we will make another trip to Gran Sasso, we will definitely come back to hotel Fiordigigli.. Negative: On breakfast there was a lot of sweet stuff, but almost nothing else - just bit ofham and no cheese at all..

Negative: The room was not sound-proof so we could hear everything was happening in the hall and stairs. Could do with some more fruit at breakfast..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice hotel at the near the Gran Sasso funivia. Rooms are well maintained and the breakfast was good. Very few good restaurants & bars around. Parking is on the road or at the back of the hotel by the ticket counter of the funivia. Check-in & check-out were quick and efficient. The front desk were very quick in answering questions and confirming the booking.
Funivia del Gran Sasso D'Italia
A wonderfully operated service from the base to reach Campo Imperatore. It costed about €30 for a round trip for a family of 4. It is normally quite chilly and windy up so it is highly recommended to dress accordingly. There is sufficient parking at near the ticket counter. Regular bus services drops and picks up at the ticket counter.
