★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Esperienza stupenda.
Ci torneremo sicuramente
Wonderful experience. We camped for 2 nights, but we weren't expecting a lot of organization. There are several areas: the pitch where you can put your car + tent, the tents area and the camper area. The reception is almost always open with the possibility to book breakfast in the morning. There is also a coffee house where you can spend time having a coffee or tea (a hot drink dispenser is available).
The bathrooms are clean and tidy, as are the showers.
The unexpected thing was the kitchen stocked with everything needed for cooking, including pots, plates and gas hob. Outside the coffee house there is also a barbecue area where wood and coal are provided.
The lady who hosted us was very kind, ready to give us advice on mountain routes and to help us on what to see around them.
We will definitely be back

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing campsite! The owner is a sweet and knowledgeable woman always available for advice or help of any kind. There's not much in the area but she makes up for it by allowing campers to order breakfast or fruits and vegetables from her, which she orders from the local bakery and farmers to be delivered the next morning! (The croissants and donuts were delicious and the fruits were absolutely amazing!) There's also a small house with an eating area and fully equipped kitchen that is available for all campers to use. The only down side was the bathrooms were tiny (when squatting at the toilet my head rested on the door) and there are many uneven steps to the bathrooms making it not so accessible to some. While my bf is visually impaired and nearly fell a few times, I also had a couple close calls though I see them well. In any case, I 100% recommend this campsite to anyone who wants to enjoy nature.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From here you can buy the ticket to go up the mountain to Cambo Imperatore using the car cable, it costs 9 Euro(two-way ticket). I think what the place is missing is gear shops where you can buy anything you need for hiking or climbing, just in case you forget something. But you actually don't need that much stuff to go up the mountain, because when you use the car cable to go there, you will be already up the mountain, and from there you can enjoying walking between mountains without doing too much effort. it's amazing trip with easy trail.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pros: Nice, dog friendly, shady campsite with small shop for basic groceries and a good location for mountain trekking. Owner is always at site and can help with planning for mountain treks. The price is very good for its location, but since it's a small camp it can get full quickly for camper vans, tents can always find a spot (cars need to be parked at entrance after unpacking).
Cons: Toilets and showers could get an upgrade (coin showers sometimes don't work...).
