Hostaria Novecento

Il locale si presenta molto piccolo e di gestione familiare. Il menù era con poca scelta ma i piatti presenti sono molto buoni.

Oggi, di passaggio a Feltre mi sono fermato in questa hostaria. Ordinato un antipasto ed un primo, con l'antipasto mi porta il pane, integrale vecchio e duro che non sono riuscito neanche a rompere. Per completare l'opera mi porta altro pane bianco anche quello vecchio e bagnato che non darei neanche ai maiali. Antipasto decente , primo pasta con peperonata sopra. Alla fine nemmeno si scusa per quel pane impresentabile anzi mi fa pagare il coperto. Vergognoso!

A nice place in the historical centre of Feltre, a bit old fashioned, the food is good but not very special. A bit overpriced.

This Osteria provides a delicious plethora of regional delicacies which may in fact vary from german based "Italian" restaurants It's Feltre's best kept secret!!! Worth the 5 stars from a Connaisseur....

Most delicious food in Feltre; Cozy & romantic atmosphere My boyfriend and went to this restaurant last night, and found the food extremely delicious, just the right portions, and the atmosphere to be very cozy and romantic. We had red house wine, with candles and bread brought to our table. He had a little trouble tearing open the bread, apparently because it was several days old...so that's one strike against them. He paid, so I can't say how much the bill was - but apparently it was much more than he had anticipated. After having read the other reviews here on TripAdvisor, I would imagine for two plates + wine + appetizer, it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 euros. The restaurant is super tiny and located in the historical part of "old Feltre". When you go up the enormous staircase, the restaurant is right at the foot of it. There are only five tables in the whole establishment, and the waiter delivers the menu to you orally, as there is no menu to see - perhaps another strike against you as you don't get to see the prices, although there are a few items listed on a chalk board on the outside window. We ordered the salami/proscutto platter to share as the appetizer, and for our main courses, he had polenta, with a cheese potato cake and a sausage hamburger, with what we believed to be eggplant on the side. Whereas I ordered one of the most delicious meals I've had in a long time, which was the beef with rosemary and balsamic vinegar and roasted potatoes. I cannot say enough how absolutely delicious the meat was! The only small problem I had at the very beginning, was that - for me - it was undercooked, so after asking if he could cook it a little more they did it with pleasure. The appetizer was alright, the salami was good but not the proscutto crudo that they served. The main dishes were delicious and the atmosphere, again, was cozy and intimate. The waiter was friendly and my highest compliments to the place go to the chef! I would highly recommend it to people who are visiting Feltre, or want to go out for a special occasion - but are willing to spend a little more than expected.

Nice quiet little restaurant. It was the positive surprise of our holidays. The negative receptions were written by mass-tourists enjoying Venice at summertime... Feltre and specially this restaurant is for tourists off the path. Unbelievable - beautiful old town, nice places to stay, this wonderful restaurant and no tourists! Had a good dinner - 3 courses to choose of- , good local wine and a conversation with the owner after the dinner. Can really recommend the Novecento.

The typical local food and vine were really great and the service excellent. The owner is very friendly... We surely come back when we are in Feltre again

Hostaria in Feltre is a place I would reccommend not only in Feltre but in Italy in general. It is place opposing the contemporary fast food trends as well as top-end luxurious restaurants where everything is perfect and you get an ideal food and service. Hostaria is a restaurant where everything is transparent, the owner talks to you, make a relations with you. The food is delicious, home-made, serviced gently and again with comments. Eating in Hostartia is then not an isolated eating of super great food but and overal experience of Italian cuisine, culture and people, it is much more than food in itself. Thank you Hostaria, we felt great. Last comment - I was there with my girlfriend and she mentioned she was having a birthday. The next day we went for a dinner there and she gor a birthday cake and then we were let to stay there after closing hours to finnish the wine. Thanks!
