★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My kind of place. The food was very simple but top quality. The wine was also superb. But the best part was the warm service. We were treated like honored guests, and they kept giving us more food and wine. They’ve mastered the art of hospitality. It was a highlight of our visit to Sicily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This father and son team is wonderful. I heard that gusto & Arte is the best restaurant in town and it definitely lives up to this reputation. The food is delicious, the service is very friendly and everything offered is produced locally. As we were waiting to be seated the son even came up to one of the patrons and asked if she wanted him to keep her glass of white wine in the fridge as she had taken her time to drink it (I mean, where else does the service care enough to ask such a thing? So nice). We’re going to make this place our culinary base camp during our stay in Caltagirone.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is not bad (not exceptionally good either, in my opinion), and owners are friendly.
However:
1) space is very limited;
2) service is slow, and quite disorganized (they keep forgetting what people have ordered, appetizers arrive at the end instead of the beginning, etc );
3) there are only few items to choose from in the menu;
4) credit cards are not accepted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little place with excellent paninis! They have a very cool table inside right next to the window. If it’s colder outside, this is the perfect place to sit.
Owner and his son are awesome! Son speaks some English.
Also, you can take nice pictures from the “balcony” that is right next to the restaurant.
