Se vi trovate a Caltagirone nel mese di Luglio non perdetevi la festa del patrono. Bellissima cittadina con tutto quello che serve senza sentire la minima mancanza delle grandi città metropolitane. Además que en Navidad suelen preparar un belén en terracota ( arcilla ) del cual añadiré alguna fotografía. En líneas generales tanto el ayuntamiento como la plaza merecen la pena su visita. I can not speak about the management or the operation of it but I do know that the Palazzo is very beautiful and worth visiting. In addition to Christmas they usually prepare a nativity scene in terracotta (clay) of which I will add a photograph. In general, both the town hall and the square are worth your visit.

I suoi giardini, le sue chiese, i suoi laboratori, la gentilezza ed ospitalità dei suoi cittadini, tutto questo è rimasto invariato per bellezza e qualità, ma il degrado urbano in cui ho trovato la città in questa mia ultima visita mi ha lasciato veramente sgomento e dispiaciuto. Signori Amministratori locali, sarebbe proprio il caso che vi deste da fare per far rimuovere tutti questi cumuli di immondizia che adornano tutta Caltagirone, sia il centro che la periferia. Inoltre, il degrado di alcuni prati e di alcune strutture testimoniano sul fatto che non si tratta certamente di un problema momentaneo legato ad una qualsivoglia disfunzione attuale, ma che va cercato nel lungo periodo. PECCATO VERAMENTE. Spero di poter ritornare in questi splendidi luoghi e di potermi ricredere. Ad maiora. Allego qualche foto. Edificato nella seconda metà dell'Ottocento in stile neoclassico, ospita al suo interno gli uffici comunali e non è pertanto interamente visitabile. Le parti comunque raggiungibili mostrano una raffinata imponenza ed una distinta eleganza. Splendido il sontuoso scalone monumentale e pregevole la facciata sul retro in stile liberty. Palazzo dell’Aquila, symbol of the city, is the seat of the Caltagirone Town Hall. Built in the second half of the nineteenth century in neoclassical style, it houses the municipal offices and is therefore not entirely open to visitors. However, the reachable parts show a refined grandeur and a distinct elegance. The sumptuous monumental staircase is splendid and the liberty style facade on the back is exquisite.

The little coffee shop inside allows a quite nice stop point to fully appreciate the historical "cupola" and the wonderful fountain with ducks.
