★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for a week on a package holiday. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good and plentiful. The double room we had was at the back and rather small and so was the bathroom. I could sit on the loo and brush my teeth over the sink at the same time but hey ho, we only slept there during the night. Other guests reported their rooms as good. Lovely area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent location on lake front, beautiful setting and style, friendly staff, clean rooms and many amenities. However, rooms at the back of the hotel are far and feel remote, breakfast is quite expensive and there is a noticeable language barrier with staff other than front desk. Would still recommend this hotel for a lovely stay in Stresa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a really old-timy English feel in the hotel. I have to give a big shout out to the staff. They were absolutely amazing! Nothing was too much to ask. They helped us find a great restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. Went as far as calling 4 different restaurants to make sure we had a good spot. Also they arranged for a taxi for us. Wonderful old school 5 star service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful shore-side hotel with great facilities. Stayed one night at the Grand Hotel Bristol and absolutely loved it. The hotel itself is really beautiful, all nicely decorated and we'll maintained. The room is well sized and equipped, with very comfortable beds and spotless clean. A real plus for the swimming pool, which is greatly maintained and spacious. Excellent stay, would recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hotel has great location on shore and 10 minutes away from town center. Building is very nice inside and out. Otherwise, there are some significant problems. We are group of 3. They issued only one key card which needs to be inserted to have lights on. So, we were tied to each other and hotel refused to issue additional cards. There are no tissues in room, no tea/coffee. No iron and ironing board in room, no ironing room. Guest has to pay for ironing service. Seems too cheap for such a grand hotel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 4 stars? Not for sure... The bedroom doesn't smell good, the floor is loose and the bathroom doesn't have a covered shower and all the bathroom became a sea after a shower... The shower itself was broken and there was no soap for the entire week I stayed and not even a cup for the theeth brush... However, pool was good and nice staff. Very good massage and spa. Expensive for what I get.

The service was perfect. Staff was very helpful with everything. The rooms are very nice and designed to make you feel relaxed.
Rooms with lake view is recommended! Wake up to a dream.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good hotel in a spectacular town.
First of all the receptionist was very welcoming and friending.
Second my room was (332) a Deluxe lake view at the corner.
It was quite small but because it was located at corner, so I’ve enjoyed the stay in two balconies facing the lake and mountains, what a breath taking view!
The furniture was a bit outdated but very clean.
The washroom needs some renovation with better amenities.
No iron board or table were available, no bathrobe, slippers or tooth brush kit. So you should make sure to get most of your personal stuff.
It was not a big issues for me as I got most of my personal stuff.
Third, the food at the buffet and room service was acceptable.
At the end the whole town was amazing worth visiting. The hotel has the best location ever and clean but it can be better with some renovation and more available room facilities and amenities.
