★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great regional antipasto, we chose the vegatarian one that was amazing. Some of the best food on our trip. Family that runs it is incredibly helpful and treats their guests with friendliness and hospitality. Well worth a visit!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped at Gli Antichi Sapori on our way to Castelmola. We got there for lunch and we didn't really plan it. But we are so glad we did it! The restaurant is run by a the family of the owners. They went above and beyond to make us comfortable! For starters, I can speak Italian but my wife cannot. Fortunately the daughter of the owners who was our server spoke English perfectly! She was easily the person who spoke the best English among all the Italians that my wife and I have ever interacted with in Sicily. Secondly, she very nicely explained our options and swiftly handled our order. And sure enough the food was amazing. We went for the appetizers and sausage and everything was over-the-top delicious! All in all, I strongly recommend this place. The only catch that might be an issue is that there are only a handful of tables, so it might get booked up very quickly during peak hours. We did not have this problem since we arrived in the late lunch slot, but you might want to call ahead of time to reserve a spot just in case.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place. Beautiful interior, small restaurant with good food and friendly service by the owners . It has a fixed menu, which means you get an appetizer with a primo piatto or an appetizer with primo e secondo piatto. Primo piatto is pasta and seconda is meat . Enjoy!
