★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Simple but delicious little restaurant. I definitely recommend for a quick lunch or dinner if youre passing through the region. This is a "locals" kind of restaurant: don't expect culinary creativity and finesse, but do expect delicious home cooking and well grilled meats. The maccheroni with black-pig ragu was delicious!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great local food in warm and welcoming atmosphere, the fresh ricotta from the antipasto is particularly good. Try one of the pasta dishes with an aromatic red like the Barbazzole and make sure to get a platter of lamb and you are set for a great treat!

First you will experience a gorgeous drive through the mountains with such beautiful views.
(I personally love going through the small towns where you can see things are built with Etna lava rocks.)
So then you arrive at the trattoria (family owned), which is really well looked after, very clean and you can feel the authenticity.
You are then welcomed by the lovely crew.
It was hard to choose from the menu so we asked if it was possible to order a tasting/samples of starters,pasta and meat.
It was also possible to get veggetarian food as well as meat (lamb is their speciality recommended if you eat meat!).
Everything was so yummy! They make their own pasta which is also highly recommended and their cheeses are fantastic. Of course don't forget to try their wines as well and finishwith Limoncello of course;-)
