Il giardino è intitolato a Terenzio Grandi, tipografo, pubblicista, storico, sostenitore dell'associazione "Pro Voto Donne", scrittore, fervente mazziniano, autore di numerosi saggi su Mazzini.
Di fede Repubblicana scrive per "Il Popolo d'Italia", ma alla costituzione dei Fasci di Combattimento si dimette e si schiera con il Partito Repubblicano su posizioni antifasciste.
Dopo l'8 settembre '43 supporta la Resistenza, dopo la Liberazione aderisce al Movimento Federalista Europeo, e nel 1946 è tra i fondatori della Associazione Mazziniana Italiana e de "Il Pensiero Mazziniano".

The garden is named after Terenzio Grandi, typographer, publicist, historian, supporter of the "Pro voto Donne" association, writer, fervent Mazzinian, author of numerous essays on Mazzini.
Of Republican faith he wrote for "Il Popolo d'Italia", but at the constitution of the Fasci di Combattimento he resigned and took sides with the Republican Party on anti-fascist positions.
After 8 September 1943 he supported the Resistance, after the Liberation he joined the European Federalist Movement, and in 1946 he was among the founders of the Italian Mazziniana Association and of "Il Pensiero Mazziniano".
