Giardino Amedeo Peyron

The Amedeo Peyron Garden is located in Piazza Amedeo Peyron, which on one side borders with Via Amedeo Peyron, and so far everything is normal and perhaps a little repetitive, except that Turin has a very particular relationship with toponymy, and the Peyrons mentioned above ... they are not the same person, and there are no plaques that clarify whether the green area was named after the first, the second, or even the third of the Peyrons who played a part in the history of the city. In fact, piazza Amedeo Peyron is dedicated to the mayor Amedeo Peyron (1903-1965), member of the Piedmontese Society of Archeology and Fine Arts, member of the Institute for the History of the Risorgimento, councilor of the "Famija Turineisa", author of legal, historical and artists, "gentleman of honor" of the archbishop of Turin cardinal Maurilio Fossati and mayor of Turin from 1951 to 1962. Instead, via Amedeo Peyron is dedicated to Abbot Amedeo Angelo Maria Peyron (1785-1870), associate of the Academy of Sciences, rector of the University, director of the University Library, member of the Magistrate of the Reformation and of the Higher Council of Public Education and of the Council of Antiquities and Fine Arts and senator of the Subalpine Parliament. The third Amedeo Peyron (1821-1903), architect, great-grandson of Abbot Peyron, designed and built the railways that connected Turin to Savona, Modane, Susa, Ivrea, Turin-Ceres, Bussoleno-Modane, and designed and in a few months he built the provisional hall of the First Italian Parliament in the courtyard of Palazzo Carignano in wood, iron and glass: a work that alone would be worth a mention as for its illustrious namesake.

Nice, too bad people dirty it so much, they don't care and respect it ...

Nice park for children, the games are varied for different ages and not too spoiled; moreover the area is often in the shade. Outside the play area, however, I must say that it is rather dirty and not well maintained.

Nice garden where you can take the children to play. Very large play area and swings with basket for children aged 9 months and up. Fairly clean and very busy especially after 4pm.

A fairly wide square with a nice grove. Well located and rectangular in shape with a very large game area, beautiful but very very dirty. A pity that they do not sanitize the squares properly. The truth is that the games are good, already a bit run down, but in all good condition. The problem is that they have a lot of dirt from a long time ago, to the point that I did not want my son to touch anything because, with the times, I preferred to avoid annoyances.

For the few benches so much the better, + benches = + night bivouac. It is a square in a decent area with a high historical and architectural value and I hope it will remain so. The day is frequented by children playing football and dog owners who use the "apparent dog areas" fenced around trees. So much the better this way you avoid manure on the street. This square should be an added value for the residents and be considered an urban oasis to be preserved over time.
