★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Il giardino presenta una simmetria centrale il cui asse cade perpendicolarmente allo scalone dell'Appartamento di Levante del Palazzo: vi sono due coppie di aiuole speculari con l'erba ben tagliata e curata e la Fontana delle Nereidi e dei Tritoni.
Il giardino fu commissionato da Carlo Emanuele II nella seconda metà del Seicento in seguito all'ampliamento della città e allo spostamento dei bastioni a Le Notre, progettista dei giardini di Versailles.
The garden has a central symmetry whose axis falls perpendicularly to the staircase of the Levante Apartment of the Palazzo: there are two pairs of mirrored flower beds with well-cut and well-tended grass and the Fountain of the Nereids and Tritons.
The garden was commissioned by Charles Emmanuel II in the second half of the seventeenth century following the expansion of the city and the relocation of the ramparts to Le Notre, designer of the gardens of Versailles.
