Manca una fontanella. Adiacente alle rovine delle ex Officine Grandi Motori, questo indefinito parco, con comodi gradoni, ma fin troppo poco verde, assolve tutt’altro che funzioni ricreative. Gli abitanti del quartiere avrebbero potuto beneficiarne, ma allo stato attuale risulta essere un luogo da additare come malsano, da segnare a matita rossa su ogni mappa. Sul lato opposto alle moderne (ma già depauperate) abitazioni giacciono ancora inerti i resti di un cimitero industriale che nessuno si è mai azzardato a convertire in una nuova realtà fatta di verde. Nessuno che abbia escogitato un piano per bonificare quella sgangherata pista d’atterraggio qual è corso Vercelli. Tipo installarvi una ciclabile e degli alberelli nella sede centrale della carreggiata. Per qualcuno è un oltraggio alle tradizioni dei disagiati multicolori che hanno trovato alloggio nei lugubri viottoli circostanti, ed è bene non cambiare nulla affinché tutto rimanga precario e al tempo stesso gestibile. Con il tipico lavarsi le mani di chi ha il cuore a sinistra e il culo a destra, che vive in collina, tenendo a distanza la cancrena di Aurora. Per qualcuno, non per me che ci passo spesso e soprattutto i residenti incazzati. Penso che a fronte di sapienti investimenti che interesserebbero il quartiere (1,2 km da Porta Palazzo, poche scuse) anche quei poveracci senza particolari alternative a spacciare, consumare e generare degrado, sarebbero invogliati a smettere (o a smammare, spinti dal rincaro dei canoni). A desolate squalor, a theater of dealing and consumption, in a point not exactly peripheral to the city. Adjacent to the ruins of the former Great Engines Workshops, this undefined park, with comfortable steps, but far too little greenery, fulfills anything but recreational functions.
