★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want to visit both gardens (Villa Monastero and Giardino Botanico Di Villa Cipressi), you have to be there before 5:30 pm. Otherwise, you have to buy each ticket separately, which cost a little bit more.
I highly recommend this place, just if you are interested in learning about different types of herbs. Otherwise, don't waste your time and money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful gardens definitely worth a visit! The entrance ticket can be combined with the entry to the next door villa and there is a student discount. The tour of the Gardes last about an hour to 90 minutes and beautiful pictures can be takes from everywhere. It's barely 5 minutes away from the centre of Varenna. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
