Had a lovely long chat with the girl behind the counter. Very friendly staff!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a great lover of ice-cream, I have tried it in many different countries: Gelateria Porta Romana makes it the best. They use superior ingredients: the pistachio, for example, has real (top quality) pistachios in it. The ice-cream is never fatty (never leaves an unpleasant patina at the top of the mouth), never fake-sugary, and never watery. Perfect consistency and balance. Once you've had ice-cream here, everywhere else it's terrible. Definitely the place to get scoops if you like to eat well or impress friends! Thank goodness this place exists.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The gelato is really good, one of the best in Milan. The fruit tastes are exceptionally good and tasty. I like the strawberry favour very much. Also the pistacchio and hazelnut flavors are tasty but not heavy like usual. There are also lactose free versions for lactose intolerant clients or vegan ones.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really like this place a lot! For only €2.90 you get two scoops and they are fairly well sized scoops. I got the pistachio and strawberry and I was not disappointed at all. Both were very delicious and all the other members of my group also had no complaints. For the price, the size, and the flavor, this is a great place for gelato! I will definitely be back if I’m in the area!
