Traditional creative cuisine, wine tastings, warm authentic ambiance.. plus, first & foremost unparallelled service by the owner who impressively filled every restaurant position single handedly the entire night(chef, server, host, bartender, cleanup) providing translations & history lessons behind every dish, attention to all details, complete pride in his work & an incredible warm, welcoming, fun disposition. We were at a loss for words but exceptional is definitely fitting. If we lived closer this would be our weekly spot!! Thank you for wonderful Modena memories ❤️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such an amazing time at this restaurant. The dishes were very creative, taking traditional Modena dishes and turning them into delicious works of art. We ate most of the offerings on the menu, drank heavenly wine, and enjoyed chatting with the chef -- a Modena local and world-class talent (who also speaks impeccable English). I consider this a must-visit destination for anyone visiting Modena.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been here on a Tuesday evening and we were the only customers. The service was impeccable, the waiter very professional, but in the same time friendly and funny. The location is also very pretty with nice views over the historical city center. I found the waiting times a bit long, especially taking into account that we were alone. The food was good but if I have to be honest it wasn't WOW good. Fair prices and I would come back even if it's only for the service and location.

Upon arrival, we were the only customers in the restaurant, we started talking with a very nice waiter named Matteo, who sat us down and proposed that we have a look at the Italian menu (no translation) for us to get a feeling of the food.
He then proceeded to come back and walk us, dish by dish to everything that goes into it, how its made, the traditional aspect of it and many more.
We were interested in some wine, a whole conversation about Lambrusco's was triggered and he made us taste the one he believed to be the best ones.
The food arrived, nothing short of delicious, throughout the night he made sure to check on our satisfaction, adding personal touches to the whole evening.
When the time of the bill came, we were surprised to see the total demanded for the quality we got in return. The best price to quality ratio ever.
We ended the night over a conversation about life, customers, what it means to have a restaurant to finally understand we were talking with the owner.
Matteo, the night was the best culinary experience of our lives. You said it so well, other cooks do it better probably, but no one can host like you.
We travelled around the world, to finally fall in complete love with this one restaurant.
