Very impressive but overcrowded. As soon as you arrive, get a ticket to reduce the waiting time as much as possible (we waited 1.5 h). Corona measured are hard to respect (especially the distance)

Add to you MUST VISIT BUCKET LIST. Amazing to see. Be prepared for a lot of stairs, up and down but the tour is slow and enjoyable. They also have English tours at the moment 3 times a day.

Sadly, I had the worst experience of my travel in Italy. One of the guides threatened to call security. She raised the volume of her voice and treated me like a criminal. The reason? I was walking ahead of my group. At no time did they mention that this was not allowed.. They expect you to follow rules they don't communicate and they are not respectful with you. Clearly and undoubtedly they are not prepared to receive people of countries different than Italy. A very sad administration for such an amazing natural treasure.

Caves were fantastic, tours in caves every 10 minutes (August), tour itself has about 1 hour length. You are transported by bus from a parking lot to cave entrance and after tour you can wait on bus back or you can go on small walk through the canyon (about 30 minut walk).

We didn’t expect it to be this crowded and we were very uncomfortable about the COVID-19 guidelines not being followed. We were placed in a group with over 60 people and crammed into a bus to the caves. The buses shuttle hundreds of people back and forth without airing in between or opening a window during the ride. In the caves the paths can be very narrow and you constantly pass other groups. Many people didn’t wear a mouth cape. I was with my mom and dad, both over 60 years old, and after the tour they rather walked all the way back than going on the shuttle bus again. Though the caves were stunning, it was an unpleasant experience. Furthermore, it wasn’t possible to buy tickets for the English tour online. This could be helpful in advance. We had to wait for 2 hours because the English tour we wanted was full, even though we arrived 30 minutes prior (which the cashier advised me to do, when I called the day before).

The caves are amazing. This was my second visit - my first was in 2010. The guide was very friendly and though she is reciting a script, the bits of information and historical facts are interesting. I suggest going early, we were part of the second group at 9:50 and as we were leaving at 11:00, the caves started getting crowded and back at the parking lot, there were long lines.

The cave is very stunning, a lot of things to see and the tour is nice, a must see if you're nearby. Buying tickets in advance is suggested, and also having a hoodie or a sweater because inside the cave it's chilly.
