★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La riserva naturale Salina di Margherita di Savoia è un'area naturale protetta della Puglia. Le sue saline che si affacciano nell'Adriatico sono le più grandi d'Europa e le seconde nel mondo. È presente il Museo delle Saline sito in un vecchio magazzino del sale adiacente alla cinquecentesca torre delle Saline. Giornata stupenda, dedicata alla scoperta delle bellezze pugliesi. Molto preparata la guida che ci ha portato alla scoperta delle Saline immergendosi coi piedi nudi direttamente a contatto con le saline prosciugata dall'acqua. Inoltre l'osservazione di tantissime specie di uccelli che popolano le saline con lo stupore di guardare i fenicotteri. Consiglio vivamente di visitarle.
 The Salina di Margherita di Savoia nature reserve is a protected natural area in Puglia. Its salt flats overlooking the Adriatic are the largest in Europe and the second in the world. There is the Museo delle Saline located in an old salt warehouse adjacent to the sixteenth-century tower of the Saline. Wonderful day, dedicated to the discovery of the Apulian beauties. The guide who led us to discover the salt pans was very well prepared by diving with bare feet directly in contact with the salt flats drained by the water. In addition, the observation of many species of birds that populate the salt flats with the amazement of watching flamingos. I highly recommend visiting them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luogo con un grande potenziale, anche turistico, ma la struttura all'ingresso necessita di essere rinnovata, sembra tutto fermo a decenni fa, laboratorio compreso. L'interno è pieno di strutture d'epoca fatiscenti (un conto è l'aspetto storico un altro è avere strutture abbandonate che cadono a pezzi). Il tour pomeridiano si fa con la propria auto, andando dietro la guida (su stradine malconce), che effettua due soste, una esplicativa del funzionamento delle saline e l'altra scenografica alla montagna di sale. Siamo stati sfortunati e non abbiamo visto nemmeno un fenicottero. Personale gentile e disponibile. Pos non funzionante. Costo del biglietto adulti troppo alto (15 euro), mentre per i bimbi è di 7 euro. Almeno la zona soggetta alle visite potrebbe essere sistemata (c'erano anche cassette elettriche senza pannello e buche coperte con casse di legno) e tenuta pulita, anche dalle alte erbacce (tipo nel viale d'ingresso).
A place with great potential, even for tourism, but the structure at the entrance needs to be renovated, everything seems to have stopped decades ago, including the laboratory. The interior is full of crumbling period structures (one thing is the historical aspect and another is having abandoned structures falling apart). The afternoon tour is done with your own car, going behind the guide (on battered streets), who makes two stops, one explaining how the salt works and the other spectacular at the salt mountain. We were unlucky and didn't even see a flamingo. Friendly and helpful staff. Pos not working. The cost of the adult ticket is too high (15 euros), while for children it is 7 euros. At least the area subject to visits could be fixed (there were also electric boxes without panels and holes covered with wooden crates) and kept clean, even from tall weeds (like in the driveway).

After having seen Bonneville USA and Salary de Uyuni in Bolivia, sort of boring. Great people though.
Hint: get there 15 mins early, park car after getting tickets and just wait for lead car to take you on tour
