★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ho avuto recentemente il piacere soggiornare presso la struttura. L'elemento che vorrei sottolineare e che rende unica la Fortezza, tanto da farmi progettare una nuova visita, è l'attenzione a ogni particolare. Nulla è lasciato al caso, perfino la rubinetteria, la colorazione delle pareti, i dettagli dell'arredamento rendono ogni camera caratteristica. Imperdibili e profumatissime le siepi di rosmarino. La meravigliosa San Gimignano è vicinissima, Siena dista pochi chilometri; ma nello stesso tempo la Fortezza è una vera e propria oasi di tranquillità. Consigliatissimo!!
 I recently had the pleasure of staying at the property. The element that I would like to emphasize and that makes the Fortress unique, so much so that I am planning a new visit, is the attention to every detail. Nothing is left to chance, even the taps, the color of the walls, the details of the furnishings make each room characteristic. Don't miss the rosemary hedges. The wonderful San Gimignano is very close, Siena is a few kilometers away; but at the same time the Fortress is a real oasis of tranquility. Highly recommended !!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lieu reculé, mais situation exceptionnelle avec vu panoramique sur les environs. Maison charmante avec beaucoup de caractère. Il y règne tranquillité et sérénité. Idéal pour se reposer après avoir visité les environs. Accueil agréable, petit déjeuner copieux avec produits locaux et maison, un régal !
Remote location, but exceptional location with panoramic views of the surroundings. Charming house with a lot of character. There reigns tranquility and serenity. Ideal to rest after visiting the surroundings. Nice welcome, hearty breakfast with local products and homemade, a treat!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sono stata, in fuga romantica, alla Fortezza con il mio fidanzato e abbiamo trascorso una vacanza magnifica. L'accoglienza e l'ospitalità di Cledy sono superbe, il posto è un'oasi di tranquillità (grazie anche all'assenza di bambini) e ricco di storia, la strada per raggiungerlo - un pezzo della via Francigena - emozionante. Le camere sono arredate con gusto e molto pulite. In un attimo sei nel centro di San Gimignano e Siena e Firenze sono veramente a due passi. Consigliatissimo.
I was, in a romantic getaway, at the Fort with my boyfriend and we had a wonderful holiday. The welcome and hospitality of Cledy are superb, the place is an oasis of tranquility (thanks also to the absence of children) and rich in history, the road to reach it - a piece of the Via Francigena - exciting. The rooms are tastefully furnished and very clean. In a moment you are in the center of San Gimignano and Siena and Florence are really close at hand. Highly recommended.

Maybe our expectations were too high after reading all the good reviews on Tripadvisor... The surroundings of the house and swimming pool was a bit tired and needs some maintenance. The narrow road to the b&b needs maintenance as well!
Our room (Paziosa) were clean and comfortable but the very small stand up shower was not good. The little fridge in our room made a lot of noise, and the air conditions was not able to cool it down to a comfortable level. The views from our room were magnificent. The wi-fi in our room was so slow that I had to use my own phone as a router to check emails and surf on internet. The towels in room are changed after three nights (not daily). You have to pay extra for the pool towels which was not expected when you pay EUR180/day.
The breakfast was simple (but good) and served by a very nice woman who only spoke Italian.
Check out at 10 and check in is only between 5pm to 7. If you arrive late don't forget to eat prior your arrival and to buy drinks on the road as you won't be able to purchase anything upon arrival.
The owners were friendly but had no contact after check-in.
