Bloccava l'accesso dallo Stelvio alla Val Venosta, con i suoi cannoni e le sue mitragliatrici.
Con le guerre mondiali, era protetto addirittura da un campo minato.
Demolito nella sua parte centrale per far passare la strada, purtroppo oggi è diventato un deposito per gli stradini.
It was called "Sperre Gomagoi", and was an Austro-Hungarian fortification, originally from 1860.
It blocked access from the Stelvio to the Val Venosta, with its cannons and machine guns.
With the world wars, it was even protected by a minefield.
Demolished in its central part to make the road pass, unfortunately today it has become a deposit for the narrow streets.
