★ ★ ★ ★ ★ La fontana detta "di S. Agata" fu eretta nel 1621 ad opera del governatore Francesco Lanario, duca di Carpignano, in via Lanaria. Oggi dedicata al cardinale Dusmet, è addossata al muro esterno dell’ex palazzo del seminario arcivescovile. A questa fontanina i catanesi ricollegano il "ratto" del corpo di S. Agata compiuto dal generale bizantino Maniace.
 The fountain called "di S. Agata" was built in 1621 by the governor Francesco Lanario, duke of Carpignano, in via Lanaria. Today dedicated to Cardinal Dusmet, it is leaning against the outer wall of the former palace of the archiepiscopal seminary. The Catanese relate to this "fountain" of the body of S. Agata by the Byzantine general Maniace.

A "fontanina", como é conhecida pelos cidadãos de Catania é uma das poucas obras monumentais que não sofreu danos após o devastador terramoto de 1693, é constituída por uma pequena bacia em forma de concha sustentada por um pilar baixo, sobre o qual foi colocado o busto da Padroeira com uma placa escrita em latim lembra a construção do monumento. A fonte a noite não tem iluminação e sinceramente não é atribuída muita atenção a este local, que com certeza merecia.
A simplistic font made in honor of the patron saint of the city of Catania.
The "fontanine", as it is known by the citizens of Catania, is one of the few monumental works that was not damaged after the devastating earthquake of 1693, it consists of a small basin in the form of a shell supported by a low pillar, on which it was placed the bust of the patron saint with a plaque written in Latin recalls the construction of the monument. The fountain at night has no lighting and honestly not much attention is paid to this location, which it certainly deserved.
